I know it's a few weeks early.. but it's never too early to think!

Mother's Day is a few weeks away.. I have no idea what to get my mother who has no hobbies or interest and has everything she needs!

So, my question is.. What are you getting your Mother for Mother's Day? Or Any ideas?

My mom thinks a gift card to her favorite restaurant is great, in fact one time I didn't give her a gift card and she mentioned later she would rather have the card! Also, think what they like to snack on or eat, bakery items, different kinds of chips, candy, fruit, etc. all that goes over good too. A free pass to the car wash, a certificate at her hairdresser, or something like that would be appreciated (you would think)

I am thinking of possibly surprising her with a visit! I did find a new cat sitter but am still worried about leaving my kitties in our new home for the first time. :nervous: But mom would love a visit, I am sure. I did pick up some cute little gifts for her such as a soap stone heart shaped paper weight with a big XOXO on it. And, a gift card to Walmart, her favorite place to shop!! :lol3:

I am giving my mother her birthday present for mother's day because it didn't arrive till nearly a month after her birthday.  I'd already ordered her Mother's day gift and that arrived just a few weeks after her birthday; so I gave her that!

I got her matching aprons for herself and DD.  DD loves to help in the kitchen and just adores my Mom.  They are really cute too.  And came with a matching potholder for each of them.

So instead she is getting a few Taste of Home cookbooks that I picked up during their big sale.

I've been thinking about this one too.  I think I may get her some charms for her bracelet. They don't have to be expensive. (sense I'm on unemployment now).  A friend & I started these for each other last year. I found them at a Hallmark store. The bracelet was only around $7.00-$8.00, & the charms are only 6.99!  (& they do not turn, or look cheap!).

My friend is a photographer, so I started her w/ a camera charm.

Another Idea I had was to make brunch for her & my sister.

My Mother is in Heaven. But I have a very sweet friend that I always buy a rose bush for.

My Mum passed away quite a while ago.  But I have a very dear 80 year old friend who is like a mum to me...

I'm sending her a hand-woven, pure wool rug I had made for my mother and which my friend has always loved.

It's our first Mother's Day without our mom....going to be a little difficult for us.

We're going to have Rick's parents come down for dinner that Sunday and whatever his mother wants for dinner is what I will make (she loves me to make something from Ina Garten's cookbooks, so that's probably what we'll have). We'll get flowers for the table and then when Rick takes his parents home, his mom can take the flowers home with her.

Your mom will be there in spirit.

I remember my first mothers day after mum passed.  There was a happy sadness, if that makes sense.. just with the memories and the love.

Wishing you a lovely day
