As I posted before my kitten is now almost 4 days old. He had the cord wrapped around his ankle and foot...

I massaged it, I called a vet (but they said he's too young to do anything), so I was wondering.... since he can't do anything, I cleaned the foot and bandaged it with the roll gauze. I just don't want it to get infected. The swelling looks like less but it just doesn't look good, I think either it's going to have to be taken off... or something.

Will he be okay with that bandage? I don't want the mom trying to kill him... she seems to be feeding him fine, and treating him normal. He tries to use that foot with the bandage. I want my lil baby to live!

The mom is apparently accepting him with the bandage.

So the question left, is if the bandage does help, or may be a hindrance for the blood circulation.

There may be pro and contra!

Im not sure at this moment!  I want the though to mature.  :)

You write, he tries to use the foot with bandage on.  Did he did so also without the bandage?

It just drags there... but I'm scared of it without. I don't do it tight. But I just don't want an infection...

I meant his foot just drags without the bandage... it's a dead foot.

Is there an actual wound where an infection could develop?

If the bandage seems to stabilize the foot so it can be used somewhat, there is a point to use it. so the muscles are working. Not used muscles disappear.

Make sure to have the bandage rather loose so it doenst hinder the blood circulation.

Good luck!   *vibes*

Thanks and yes now it seems like there is a wound so I will bandage it. I called vets and humane society and all keep telling me he's too young to do anything. My heart breaks. I care so much about animals, that I want to protect them.
