Some of you may remember when I hurt my right knee last November. I sprained it and tore some cartilege.
Someone up there really hates my knees! You wouldn't believe what I did to the left knee today!
My friend, who's marrying next year, asked, since I'm her matron of honor, that I attend a bridal vendor thingy at the country club, where her wedding/reception is to be held. Ok, no problem...until I decended the "Grand Staircase". I had just, a second before, joked to her fiance that I always fall down stairs...SPLAT, flat on my face on a hard marble floor (I missed the last step). I really hurt my shin and some of my knee, and it's swollen--the bruising will probably show up tomorrow. It really hurts when I get up from sitting, and has gotten worse since when I hurt it (about 4 hours ago).
Oh, Gawd--I'm dreading the wedding day and that danged staircase. Imagine me in a long dress and high heels, and what injuries could happen. I'll be up and down the stupid thing all day, until the wedding (the dressing room for the bridal party is up there), and for the post-wedding photos. Perhaps the photographer can get a candid of me tripping...
