Pixie is at 66 days now. She still hasn't had them. She raises her hind legs like she's waiting for me to check her, every time I pet her. Today I'm not really able to get any milk expressed. Just literally a dot, but she has the dried white flake over each teat. She still hasn't ate much today. Usually I fill her bowl 2-3 times a day (as she requests it). But today I only filled it once around 10am. I usually fill her water bowl twice a day. It still has half. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to sit up with her any longer tonight. I have to get up at 7am and it's already 2:15am. I'm so worried that she'll need me while I'm sleeping....

Leaving now....so far she seems fine. She was more than ready for her breakfast this morning. However, that would be just my luck, that she would have them while I'm gone. lol

They look sweet..post more pics when you can. :)

I laughed when you said in an earlier post that she lifts her legs for you to check automatically..

I think my Lucy is doing the same.

Thank you KCmama! LOL, I had decided that Pixie wasn't pregnant at all! Even though I could feel them. Please take my advice....DO NOT worry about "the signs"! Pixie had no signs whatsoever! And I promise, THEY WILL ARRIVE SOON.

She did eat today. Not alot, just like yesterday. She did not lose her plug. I watched it come out right before the first kitten! She had no discharge or leakage whatsoever! I had just checked her 20 minutes before she started pushing and there was nothing. I was honestly shocked when I saw her start pushing. The only thing that really tipped me off that something was going to happen, was that she wasn't in her nesting box and she wasn't in any of the usual spots. She had found a box of christmas tree garland and gotten in that box. But I had to get her out of it because the box was quite small and not safe for birthing. I put her in her nesting box and she delivered #1 within about 30 minutes.

Ok, I need help! I just checked on them again and the runt isn't looking so good. He has poo all over his rear end and she won't clean him. He got near her head and she kind of smooshed him with her head. I'm thinking this is a bad sign. He looks so fragile now compared to earlier. I knew he was smaller, but he seems to be getting weaker.

This just happened with my kitten. All i can say is maybe you shoukd intervene. My runt was the same. Clean him up with a warm towel mix up some formula and try to feed him. I feel as though i waited to long to feed mine. It took three days and the kitten just passed...its your best bet to know youve tried everything. Dont wait. Id start now cuz it takes a while for them to catch on

congrats on the kittens! I think you should place the runt on one if her nipples. It might latch in and start drinking.and for the poop I think you should get a warm damp rag and wipe him every once in a while if she isn't doing anything.

If you can clean him and up and give him a boost with a KMR..then try and get him on a nipple. If he starts to thrive...she should take over.

It won't take long for him to pass at this age. Keep him warm and stimulate him to go if momma isn't.

Thank you all for your advice. He seems to be doing better. He's more vigorous this morning. When I checked on them this morning, she had cleaned him up very well. He's so much smaller than the rest of the kittens. He keeps getting pushed out of the way by the others. But he was nursing once I help him find the nipple and gave him a minute to latch on. I guess I'm just going to have to help him every little bit to make sure he gets his turn. Levi68, what is KMR?

Kitten milk replacement. You can get pre made or powder form at your local petstore along with a bottle. Id go get it in case something happens. Seeing as therehealth can diminish quickly at this young age

Get also hold of dextrose =glucose sugar.  Useful in situations when they need extra energy or begin to going down.  If they dont need, you can use it yourself, perhaps in baking, as this is often to buy on the baking shelf.

Good luck!

Thank you both! Idk what I'm going to do. I don't think he's going make it much longer. His temp is falling and now he won't even latch onto a nipple. The nearest pet supply store is an hour drive and my husband is at work. I have medicinal syringes. Is there anything else I could feed him, like evaporated milk?
