Our kittens are now ten weeks old. We thought that they were using the litter box, but have come to realize that they aren't. They have free reign of the whole house, and are going behind the couch and behind anything they can find. There are three of them so I don't know if all of them are not potty trained. I have caught one of them going in the living room and I was able to discipline that one. I just told her no and took her to the litter box. They are pooping in there food and in my kids shoes. I'm not quite sure what to do. Any suggestions would be great. I thought that their mamma was supposed to train them, but I don't think she is.
Thanks for the help,
Tiffany

Tiffanyr,

The best thing to do is isolate them in one room with the litterbox, their food, water and some toys for 24 to 48 hours. They should eventually get the idea. The rule of thumb is one box per cat. Once they're trained, make sure they know where their boxes are so they don't forget. This method worked for me.

Good luck.
