I do see the pigment much darker in that eye and it is helpful that you posted a picture. Hopefully someone will come along and be able to tell you a bit more than I can. Definitely take you cat to the vet for an optical exam so you know for sure what your kitty is dealing with. It could possibly be this condition but a vet would have to confirm. http://dogsandcats.com.au/catlovers/1208/corneal-sequestrum-in-cats OR could be a melanoma :dk: http://www.eyevet.ca/iris_melanoma.html I am not sure if your cat is blind, but again, please get a diagnosis from your vet. Maybe another member will see this and have a better idea of what it could possibly be. :cross: :vibes::vibes::vibes:

To me, I don't think it's blindness, because it doesn't look like pupil  is dilated, which happens if they are blind.  When you shine a light in her eye, does her pupil change with the light, and does that eye follow your finger, etc?

But I agree with Lauren that she would probably be seen by a Vet, possibly even a Vet who specializes in eyes (yes, they DO have those
)

Did this come on suddenly, or did it start with small splotches and grew into all the white of her eye?  I have seen a few cats where it started small (like freckles in the eye), and then grew larger.   Sometimes it ended up being melanoma of the eye, sometimes not...that's why you need to see a Vet.

I had a kitty that this happened too. Like you, I was worried and took her to the vet. It turned out to be nothing more than a change in the pigmentation and did not affect her eye sight. Certainly a vet visit would help to ease your mind but I doubt it's anything serious.

Good luck.

Yes, that's if it's iris melanoma.  when it starts as "freckles" and they continue to grow, sometimes that's iris melanoma.
