I stepped outside and saw this little cutie. I've never seen her around before, she seemed fairly friendly. I wasn't able to pet her but she did let me get pretty close to her. I can't tell if it's a female or neutered male because I like I said I wasn't able to pet her. I hope it's a neutered male since if it's a female I won't be able to tell if it's fixed by just looking at it. I also hope that I see it running around soon so that I can get a little closer to it.

I want to wait until I see her again before I figure out what to do with her/him. I don't want to steal the kitty if it has a home. She seemed pretty friendly and she looks healthy. This area has almost no traffic, so I'm not too worried about her getting hit or anything. But if the kitty is still outside tomorrow.. then I guess she's up for grabs
However I would rehome her because I don't really think having a 3rd cat is a good idea for me right now.

Perhaps you could put up fliers in your area, describing kitty? That way if kitty is owned, the owners can contact you. Also, call the local animal control to see if a cat matching the description of kitty is missing. Finally, I've read that some people will put a breakaway collar with a note on a questionably-owned kitty, telling how kitty is visiting them and asking the owners to get in touch. If nothing pans out after a while, I think it's safe to assume that kitty is a stray.

You could make him a collar like I did for Peaches. Her collar reads "My owner please call 954-xxx-xxxx" I put the collar on her (after suggestions from members here) and there has been no call yet, so I am sure she does not have a home to go to. You can get one made at the Pet Supermarket for about $5-$7.

Cute kitty!

What a pretty kitty. Looks a little sad. I sure hope you connect with his/her family or, failing that, find a home.

What a beautiful cat!!! He/She does look healthy and well-groomed, but you've already gotten some great suggestions for helping to locate his/her potential mom/dad.

I'd start putting out food though to keep kitty coming back just in case....

What a sweetie you are for caring!
