Things are always wearing out and usually there's something we own that we will need replacing soon.

Do you have a big purchase in your future, or did you just have to replace something?

We are past due for a new bed, so we're saving for a natural latex one and should get it this summer. I'm excited about it and believe it will really help relieve my achy bones and allergies!

Kitchen stuff.........

We are planning on having our new kitchen floor installed within the next two months. It's a tile floor and we are not doing the work ourselves. We found the floor, now it's just a matter of finding a time for installation.

And then the new fridge:

or

or

That won't be until more toward the fall season, so we have time to really look around.

And the backsplash.

And we still need to finish the below-cab lighting.

It's a long process!

I would love to replace our black leather couch and love seat cause they are 13 yrs old. Bella and Thunder have never scratched them. The love seat is ''wearing out'' but otherwise  the couch is  in good condition.

I don't have too room in our new apartment for the front room. Maybe a computer stand and computer in the future.

I think the last big purchase here was a new dishwasher.

We are just waiting to see what will die next. It could be the truck, the furnace, the refrigerator, etc. All of those are possibilities. We also need a new mattress, but keep debating whether to stick with the queen-sized we have or upgrade to a king.

I could really use a storage system for my jewelry crafts. I've been considering getting one of those rolling tool chest mechanics use. Some run into the 500$ + range. :thud: I also need a printer/scanner. I have so many old photographs and documents to record.

Right now I think a storage shed for our backyard is priority.  But not till next year unless we find an incredible deal.  DH thinks it's for the lawn mower and his yard stuff.  I told him it's for the kids outdoor toys!
But then DD is in need of a "big girl" bed too...  So I guess that will come this year sometime.

Our couches are starting to become uncomfortable and I'd love to replace them; but I think we should wait till our kids are a little older and less likely to have accidents or spills on them.  Not sure what the typical life span of a couch is; but these are going on 10 years.  Style wise they are ok (I'll never get one of those removable pillow back kinds again though!) but if you sit wrong you will feel the wood back!  Believe me when I say "ouch!"

I desperately want/need a new kitchen floor.  I've been putting it off for ages because I know how much work is going to be involved, and I can't decide on what type of flooring I want.  While I would love hardwood, I'm the world's messiest cook; also, the cat's dishes and bowls are in the kitchen, and they're pretty messy at times, too.

A new TV to replace the 25" tube type that died.  I am tired of watching the 13". The ladies pile on me and I can't see the TV at all.

We don't have a screened in patio (or lanai as they call them here on the west coast of Fl). We had one when we lived in Ft. Lauderdale and now I kind of miss it. I think it's a big expense as we would have to extend the concrete slab outside of sliders and put in the frame for the patio, screening and some kind of roof over it. Don't know if it's practical or not but it really is nice to have a patio area to have meals, lounge and relax -- and I know the cats would love it too.

I would think that would be a nice investment!  Especially there in Florida.  I would LOVE one of those here.  My Grandparents have just a covered patio with lattice on 1 1/2 sides for some privacy.  I can't tell you how many hours we've spent there.  Of course they live in upstate New York so it's not as hot there.  But it's just lovely even in the rain!

I would think that would help your property value a bit too.

We just got a stove, fridge and washer last weekend. All used because we can't afford brand new right now and our new house didn't have appliances. We still have to get a dryer, hopefully this weekend.

The new deck chairs, rugs, cushions and umbrella is certainly costing more than I thought.
