I have been accused of not liking coffee, but "coffee-flavored candy"! :tongue2: Lots of cream, lots of sugar, preferably a flavor. Iced or hot, I'm not picky. I'll drink it left-on-my-desk-all-day lukewarm, even :lol3:.

My brands are Seattle Mountain coffee- Seattle Mountain Blend  100% whole bean Arabica, and Kirkland Signature Organic Columbian Supremo whole bean.

I've been buying my coffee at Aldi for years now; hubby tells me he believes their coffee is made by Hill Brothers.

My Mom uses Maxwell House, and I actually like Aldi's coffee better.

I'm a coffee purist---I refuse to drink flavored coffees, don't care for Starbucks, not really fond of iced coffee drinks, I just want plain old coffee (ok, with sugar and Coffeemate , but no fancy creamer flavors!

Works for me! No iced coffee, no flavored coffee either.
I hate flavored coffee or flavored creamers, and don't like iced coffee.  But....I do occasionally make an iced mocha, vanilla latte, or caramel macchioto in the afternoon.

For everyday drinking I use Kenco Smooth generally, I also like to boil some milk with whole garam masala spices (cardamom, cloves, cinamon etc) then put coffee in. It livens it up a bit.

Thank you for that idea. I have some garam masala. Do you think it would be good putting it in already brewed coffee? How about if I dry toasted it? Then again, it might not be all that fresh. Could you PM me the whole list of spices?

Yeah, it'd work with brewed coffee, just let it sit around for a bit then sieve it out. I use the whole seeds and pods and stuff, because the last mouthful gets a bit bitty with the powdered. Though the bitty effect may be avoided if you use filter paper to sieve it out. Dry roasting sounds like a nice idea!

Yes, we got off-topic there.  Any coffee is going to hurt your stomach. It is the caffeine, tannic acid and volatile oils in it.  Maybe you should switch to decaf or something like Postum  (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postum).  I know several people who switched and their stomachs stopped hurting.

BTW  You did ask what our brand is.

I didn't know they still made Postum.  They don't sell it in the stores here.  My dad was always health conscious so he kept caffeine consumption down.  We always had it at home when I was growing up because he drank more Postum than coffee.

Try Folgers brand with 1/2 the caffiene. If that doesn't work it is probably the acid in coffee bothering your stomach.

Thanks guys. I know of 1 health store near me. I'll call before I go over there. If they don't have anything I'll try the Frogers with 1/2 the caffiene.

I love the smell of coffee brewing in the morning especially when my husband has to make it before I get up.
