which kind of coffee do you drink ?

I have been buying the big can of coffee at Aldi cause it's cheap. I am now getting stomach cramps because of it. I asked my doctor and he told me to switch back to Maxwell House. Does anyone one know which is better for the stomach ? I drink 2 cups a day.

So which is your brand ?

Since I drink so much, 2 pots a day, I get Folgers Classic Roast. I love a lot of the 'designer' coffees but I only have thgem every once in a while at 8.00 a pound! There is a folgers that is supposed to be better for your stomach too, I can't remember the name of it. Any of the breakfast blends are better on your stomach too.

None at home but when I am in the mood I go grab a xl one from dunkin...sometimes 2 in a day.  Pretty sure my sister also has issues with Aldi brand.  They have a kurig(??)  and she has the attachment to use any brand coffee. She is a heavy coffee drinker.

We are coffee snobs in this house. :lol3: We normally buy from small roasters, usually a dark roast.

I spent a while trying out all the mid-priced grocery store coffees when they would go on sale. I ended up picking Maxwell House Columbian as my favorite. It's the brand my Grandma used to drink so I guess I like it for sentimental reasons too
. I'm brewing a pot right now. Yum!

When I don't have K-cups on hand, I usually buy Chock Full of Nuts because it's a little less expensive than some of the others and it tastes good.  I also drink one to two cups a day.

I don't even have a coffee maker at home; I depend on work coffee or go to the gas station on days off (and my mom has a Keurig so if I'm at her house I'm all set). But I do buy the coffee for work. I used to get. . .Folgers? I think (the red can). Then I read in Consumer Reports that Great Value (Walmart brand) is smoother and richer. . .so I tried it, and it is! And cheaper. So now that's what I buy.

We get Folgers.  Can't think of which at the moment; a Colombian one?  It's "Medium-dark."  I'm not a big fan of the Maxwell house ones I've tried.  It's tolerable but not my preferred.

Usually Gevalia, some type of dark roast, usually varies.  Only drink coffee on the weekend, so splurge a bit.

I am also a coffee snob.  I pretty much only drink it in the morning, but am very particular about it.  I like my coffee STRONG (Strong women like strong coffee....lol).  I have had a Keurig for about 7 years, and last year added a Nespresso Latissima for cappucino and latte.  I'm really cheap about a lot of things....but I don't skimp on my coffee.

I buy more expensive coffee, most things I don't do that with but I do with coffee.  I have a burr grinder and buy whole beans.  I have downgraded a little though.  I used to always buy Starbucks Komodo Dragon but lately I have been getting the eight o'clock original whole beans.  I used to get monthly shipments of Gevalia but I stopped that several years ago.  I think grinding just enough for one pot right before I brew it makes a big difference in the taste.

My parents were Maxwell House drinkers and that's what I stayed with when I used a percolator. I always liked MH. But I don't like MH for the Keurig. Nasty stuff. So is Millstone. Bleah!

We have a Keurig and I really like Green Mountain Nantucket Blend and Caribou. I just love the Barista Colombia roast; it's right between a medium and a dark roast and it's delicious (a little pricey sometimes, so I try to have coupons on hand or buy enough when it's on sale to last me for awhile).

Bed, Bath and Beyond has a package of brands that are all a medium roast. I usually go with the medium roast coffees and that package works for me. Best of all, I always have 20% coupons around for BB & B and I can use those coupons for my coffee fix.

The best coffee for a medium roast for the Keurig was Timothy's Italian Roast. Dear heavens, but that stuff was good. It's not being made anymore, so I switched over to Barista. I can find it on eBay sometimes still and my co-worker and I will split the cost from eBay as he really likes Timothy's, too.

Chock full-o-nuts, the 'original' kind. I love the flavor of it, and I make it strong.

I have a stove top percolator. I make a full pot, drink two or two and a half cups per morning. After having my two cups from a fresh pot, I add water to replace what I drank and re-perk it the next day.

Once or twice I've lost track of whether I was on day one or day two of the pot and re-perked another day. It was not very nice coffee at that stage. :lol3:

Interesting thread!

Keurig users.....the k-cups are usually MUCH cheaper at internet stores.  The boxes have 24-25 cups instead of 18.  I use coffeewiz.com, or coffeerocket.com.  They frequently have sales if you get on the email lists.  I order enough to get free shipping every couple of months..  Sams Club also sells bulk boxes that are cheaper, and Amazon sometimes has good deals on bulk boxes.

My favorites are the Coffee People varieties.  Black Tiger is awesome.
