Do you eat leftovers or give them to the dog,cat or do you throw them away ? It depends on what it is if I reheat and eat.

I don't have leftovers often but when I do, I eat them the next day.  It saves me from cooking another meal.

I think some things taste better next day.  Any pasta or chicken dish for sure.  If I can not get to left overs I split it between my 2 dogs.

We may keep them as long as 5 days or so. If we have a roast on Sunday, then on Thursday or Friday, I'll make something with the roast leftovers for dinner that night. If it's beef, I might throw together some kind of hash or something. Or make a bit of gravy and serve it all over popovers or baking powder biscuits. If it's chicken, I'll throw together a chicken pie or some kind of creamed chicken over noodles. Or make a BBQ chicken pizza. Or just have sandwiches. Whatever we're in the mood to have that night. If it's stew or pot roast, I may put the leftovers in the freezer for another time.

Sometimes on a Friday night, I'll just get out whatever is leftover from the week and won't bother to turn it into something else. I'll plop everything on the kitchen counter and we'll pick what we want. That works, too.

Rick will often take leftovers in his lunch. That way he's not always eating a sandwich made with deli meat. He loves to take chili or spaghetti or even some kind of soup or stew and will throw a couple muffins or yeast rolls in his lunch, too. We heat it in the microwave and put it in a thermos and it stays warm til his lunch rolls around. One day, he had goulash and a thick slice of onion bread that I had made in his lunch. He had a bit of coleslaw and his dessert was a chocolate cupcake with PB frosting. He always carries some iced tea to drink and a bottle of water. One of his co-workers told him that he eats pretty good! And it was all leftovers...nothing fancy.

We rarely throw leftovers out.

Some leftovers and good, but sometimes I save things and end up throwing them out. All depends! I love leftover meatloaf. Sometimes i'll save a rotisserie chicken and think I can use the frame, but most of the time I end up throwing it out.
