Hi,
I have asked a few questions on this site (really helpful), but I felt the need to describe my obsessive love of my cats.
First, I must say that I didn't want a cat. My husband was the cat-lover, so I agreed to get a cat for his sake. I ended up going to the humane society on my day off, and I fell in love with two cats (brothers). They wouldn't let me adopt just one, so I ended up taking both of them. I got them about 8 weeks ago, and I must say, they make my life so much better. I miss them when I am at work, and I look forward to seeing them when I get home. It is so crazy. I have always been a dog person. The only problem I now experience is my husband's jealousy, because he was used to all off my attention being focused on him. He loves the kitties too though, and they have definitely made our family more lively and enjoyable.

Boy do I know what you're talking about! My husband was also the cat person, while I grew up with dogs. But since our two kitties came into our lives, I've seriously become an official Crazy Cat Lady! My husband has gotten jealous of the attention and doting I give our cats too.
I've learned so much about cats, mainly from the wonderful people on this site. Teresa's right, too. This site is very addictive.

I was raised with dogs from birth and jad birds from the age of twelve. I've had my first cat for less than a year and brought home my second cat in this past August. I love them as much as I could any animal species. I can still see myself getting a dog one day, though convincing my anti-dog husband of that will be a battle. *sigh*

Welcome and Helooo

By the way , my husband did not really like cats at all . Well it looks to me he love them now . But he don't like to show that to much to me , that could be a weakness of a man . Then I hear from other people we know how much he prags about some of HIS cats

I have always been a cat person. My father was anti-cat until we got a seal point Siamese kitten, Thomasina when I was 7. My mom and I went out shopping a few days after we adopted her, and when we got home I couldn't find her anywhere. My dad asked what I was looking for, and I said "I can't find Thomasina." He smiled and said, "Oh, she was cold, she needed to warm up," and took her out of his bathrobe pocket, where she'd been snuggling. She must have been only 8 or 9 weeks old at the time, she was a tiny little kitten. She converted him to being a cat person.

that is so sweet!
Greycat2 - warm and fuzzy is about right!

Me and my husband were just kind *so-so* on cats. he really didnt care for them too much. he'd always wanted a dog. then last year I thought how nice it would be to get a pet. so he gave in and we went to the Humane Society and picked up Amber. we are both total converts now. he thinks I am nuts though with how much time and how many photos and how many TOYS, god dont get me started on the toys!, I give her (many of which she ingores). She has gotten into her fair share of trouble in the past year but he loves her.

Welcome to TCS! I'm glad getting kitties worked out so well for you! My fiance was like that -- he was a "dog person." Then we got Luna.
