As im just on the way to my own personal hairdresser (my sister in law) to get my hair cut and coloured

Do you get your hair coloured?

Mines going purple

I do and have been since I was about 18 years old.

Yes, it gets touched up every 4 weeks when l get it cut

No color holds anymore.  I used to have it odd colors but last few times it just washes out.  Tried different brands/store so it is my hair.

I've been coloring mine since I was 18 or so, it was SO mousey colored. The only problem I have now is since I'm over 50 now, what color should I go for instead of blonde? I've been leaving a touch of gray on the sides, but I think I'm too 'blonde' for my age. So far I'd never let it go gray, I've seen too many women let it go back and it ages them 20 years, no thanks! Any suggestions on a color?

I colored my hair most of my life but then I just let it go to gray.  It's a pretty nice color gray and I like it as does my SO.  I used to color my own hair, it was a lot less expensive that way.  I also wore a wig for many years, once because I wanted to and another time I had to.

Believe me, it won't age you.  My guy is 8 years my junior and loves the color of my hair.  It's the person who might age for different reasons, it's not the hair.

Right now nature is coloring my hair. Gray is a color. :lol3: I wouldn't mind if it was all dark brown like it was.

And thicker. I miss my thick hair.

I stopped coloring my hair in my thirties. The older I get, the darker it gets, though I have some gray strands in it now. Every time I think about coloring it again, I think about what a mess it would be if I let it grow out again.

:lol3: :bigthumb: I just saw two girls the other day at the local grocery store. One had VERY bright orange and the other bright red!!!!

I do get my hair colored/highlighted at the roots. I started greying in my thirties and have brown hair - now more blond. I would prefer not to because it is so darn expensive. :dollars: Maybe when the platinum grey takes over I will be able to stop. Wouldn't mind being silver plat. :high5:

I can sympathize with you on this one. I tell people I wear the ponytail hoping the front of my head will get the message and start growing again.

I cant get a decent picture of it looking all purple but im in love with it, I did it because I wanted a change and also to cover the grey's 26 and going grey is a bit depressing to be honest

No coloring for me! That's to much maintenance!

Not really. I haven't dyed my hair in like forever. Last time it was burgundy but it has washed out.

Never colored my hair different colors, but I do dye my hair about once a month brown cause of my gray hair and roots !

Blonde highlights here. The lighter the better!

Most recently, I dyed mine black. I've colored my hair on and off since I was 14.
