Hello! I am a former "love dogs only" kind of person until I adopted my sister's cat Thompson, what a smart kitty! He is a beautiful gray and white male with scary long teeth and claws. He was formally an outdoor cat until he ended up with an abscess from a fight he was in. Now he is strictly indoors, unless I put him in a cage or a leash to enjoy the outdoors.
Recently I trapped Leo, a wild kitty that was living at my previous address. He is approximately 6 months old. He is yellow with soft looking long hair. He does not let humans near him but he does let my dog, Jack and my cat, Thompson close. They actually greet each other. This is after he spent a week in the garage to get used to our family of humans and pets. I released him outside and said a little prayer that he would stay in the yard. He did! He now enjoys the life of an outdoor cat and the privilege of indoors too. He comes in at night and will jump on my bed with Jack and Thompson. Leo copies everything Thompson does (copy cat). He is learning what is required to be a part of our family.
Leo is still very skittish around humans, I don't know if he will ever let us touch him, but we sneak a quick pet when he comes through the door!
