Are you going away this year?

I'm off to York on Saturday for a week. Can honestly say I'm so freakin excited. I just can't wait to go for some amazing walks and visit the Jorvik museum, York Minster, oh, and having picnics if the weather becomes warm.

Pointless little thread really. Anyone going away this year?

We are hoping to get to York for a weekend and up to Scotland for a weekend

I don't know....a lot depends on how we finish the kitchen at this point.

Decorating? That's money.

Not long decorated our kitchen but have yet to buy new cupboards and units as it's so bloomin expensive. Wish I was like a magic fairy and could click my fingers and puff....one transformed home.

I've always wanted to go to Scotland. Just the walking and the scenery....Ahhhh...

I am obsessed with walking, haha. Who needs to spend a week holiday sitting on a beach.

I'm in Edinburgh soon, and possibly again later in the year or down to London

Sounds nice, all but London. Never understand the fascination with the place. Overcrowded, can't move, and you can never go see tourist attractions as you're in a que for three hours and that's just getting a ticket before you have to form another que.

We normally go away for a week at the end of August, but I'm not sure where we are going yet. We also do weekends away every so often.

It's my :heart3: grandmother's :heart3: 100 year old birthday! Huge family Reunion! It's going to be amazing! So excited!

DH and I are going away for our 10th anniversary.  We usually travel a couple times a year to visit family because we don't live near much.  But this year one of those times is dedicated to just DH and I getting away!

Hopefully do another cruise - probably in Dec. or Jan. I guess this might sound boring to some people, but we just love cruises so much --- and it's the best buy for your money also.

Does anyone want to join us???? The more the merrier. Did you see this Pam --- I bet Rick would love it.

Wow, 100 years old! It'll be a very special occasion for your entire family.

We're going to Hungary for a week in late spring.

We are going to Lollapalooza in Chicago this year in August! So excited!   The 24 hour car trip from El Paso, Texas should be fun, too. 

Wading to Israel as soon as Mayc1 is here and Resident (in med school) assignments are complete. Just to visit relatives and friends. Then in July my sister and husband want us to travel to Scotland with them so we are considering that.

Nothing wrong with cruises at all, not that I've ever been on one but I've been wanting to for quite sometime.

It's just money -Sigh-

Still plenty of gorgeous places to see here in the UK first and then I'll get onto the list of places I want to visit outside of Britain (It's quite long!)
