I don't understand every time i drink soda my head gets hot and i fell weird and every time i eat anything with sodium that is 250 or higher i start felling weird and with headaches

i started getting this about a week or so ago

does this happened to you? do you guys have any idea why?

my mom thinks it might be diabetes starting up on the soda part but if i eat anything else sugary i don't fell anything like i do with the soda

and she thinks it might be blood presser with the salt :/ it runs in the family

yes i'm going to talk to a dr about it but right now i'm DR less meaning i don't have one right now :/

It's probably your blood pressure rising.  Not something to fool around with.

If you have a walmart pick up the cheapie sugar meter.  Relion is the brand.  At least you can check where you are after drinking soda and if it is higher then you can avoid carbs till you get dr

I think some WalMart stores have a blood pressure machine that you can use to check your blood pressure; if you're going to hit WM anyway to look for a sugar meter, you might as well check your BP, too, while you're there.

I know people with type II diabetes and when they need sugar, they drink some soda because it acts quickly, really quickly, to get sugar back up. One of my GFs keeps a bottle of Pepsi on her nightstand for that reason.

that you feel better.

There are about 9 teaspoons of sugar in a can of soda. Around 16 teaspoons in a 20-ounce bottle of it---that's more than 1/4 cup! (look at the label; there are 4 grams of sugar in a teaspoon, you can figure how many tsp in that container, but it's a bit less than one teaspoon per ounce, usually). Most people never consume that much sugar otherwise, which is why soda gives you a sugar rush much faster and easier than other sugary foods. Cut out the sodas and see how you feel.

As for the salt thing, drink more water to flush the salt out of your body. Your body needs salt, but most of us eat too much salt and don't drink enough water. And that can really dehydrate you, and dehydration is a major cause of headaches and other health problems. But not too much; some people overdo it. More than a gallon a day or so is excessive, unless you've been exercising a lot or out in the heat for a long time.

So, my advice, until you can get to the doctor for professional care: no more sodas and drink lots of water! :D

Is the soda you are drinking sweetened with 'real' sugar or high fructose corn syrup?  I know some people have reactions to the hfcs that do fine on 'real' sugar.  My favorite poison - Mountain Dew Throwback - has 44 grams of sugar in a 12 ounce can, which makes it 13% sugar by weight. I have high blood pressure, myself.  Cut back on the salt, start checking how much is in everything you eat, drink more water and cut out the soda.  I only drink about a can a week.

You can run one sample on a shared machine.  Some have a "do not store this reading"  so it dont go into thier averages.

You can take a fresh lancet and use that to get a reading.  You can get a free meter if you look around.  Usually will have a few strips lancets(needle things to get  blood).  Or get a 10-15 one.

I would see your family doctor asap and test your BP. You did not mention the systolic pressure which is also very important. Many electrolyte imbalances cause hypertension and salt is one of them. Try cutting out soda (it is really sugar and water anyway tho I myself like Dr. Pepper but limit it as much as I can) .Diet pop is not all that healthy either -whether aspertame which in combination w certain ingredients is a carcinogen. I would cut back on salt, sugar and exercise more if you are not getting enough. Even as low as 15 mins a day can help. Chocolate is another culprit. And there are in fact medical studies documenting dizziness (a symptom of high BP) and even tachycardia -heart palpitations. I really would see hour doctor who knows tor medical history. I had one teenage patient with cancer whose Hap was fine -no soda pop etc -moll, green tea and one day she had nothing left hut water which she disliked (alas) and her BP shot up to a totally unacceptable level!! And she WAS dizzy and had other symptoms. No one can diagnose online -Pls see your Gap!! (Sorry to go on for the 3 rd time!!(. Take care!!!
