I came across this statement:

"Over at Popular Science they give a short profile of the folks at AFB International whose business niche is in making flavored coatings for dry pet foods.

It turns out cats and dogs are quite different when it comes to diversity in foods.  Cats, for example like to stick to one kind of food, as research has shown that most outdoor cats are "either mousers or birders, but not both."  Giving a cat a rotating menu of food choices may actually cause the cat more concern than if one good food is chosen and stuck with."

Any opinions, comments, agree / disagree?

well one cat likes buffalo wilderness dry doesnt' want it other way and will stick to it no matter waht will even ingore junk food wet food and all sorsts of wet food.

my other cat likes variety she has evo and i ordered a case of felidae so going to rotate, sometimes she will get sick of evo and want another brand. I spoil her sometimes too she loves ziwipeak lamb likerealllllllllllly is in love with it she would clean that plate, sadly it is only around 2 bucks very pricy so i will often buy 3 cans of those to spoil her only I wish i could try the rabbit forumala but i can find 1 can of it anywhere so hopefully i will soon. my cat does like variety she will want nature variety or blue buffalo and sometime ziwipeak.  i still ahve unfinish cans too >_< and i keep buying more lol

I can only share my experience with my cat who was both a mouser and birder when she was allowed out. She brought home mice, shrews, birds, and rabbits which was one of the reasons she's not allowed out anymore. One time, my husband and a friend saw her stalking a deer LOL.

She loves a lot of variety in her wet food. In fact if I serve her the same thing too often, even if it's her favorite food, she'll stop eating it. However, when I used to feed her dry food as well, she ate the same kind for years!
