Hello all! :) DREAMS!!!!!!!!!! :9:  :Moon: :Shooting Star: Last Tuesday's question, I think :lol3:, was about how well we are all sleeping and what we take to assist. I started taking the Melatonin 5 mg. and have been sleeping much better. Although Presley continues his "loving" antics during the night which wakes me up. I have been dreaming much more this last week too. Colorful dreams that don't make much sense. From what I have read about dreaming in color, it can mean a multitude of things. Color is used to symbolize emotions, spirituality, one's style or self. Similarly, dreams use color to communicate a variety of symbolic messages. I found this link this morning and thought it was interesting. .http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art39785.asp

Are your dreams ever in color? Black/white? Sepia (brownish tone)? What do you think that means?

I don't know what it means, but I dream sometimes in b&w, sometimes in color. There's not a particular color, it's like irl with colors everywhere. I sing in my dreams, too, how weird is that. Many times I dream of my dear departed kitties whom I've loved over my lifetime, and I'm either looking for them, or found them (such a reunion!) and am trying to bring them back home.
My late sister has visited me a few times.
Sometimes I have tasted things in my dream; the most vivid (and awful) thing tasted like grainy, over-cooked liver.

WOW! Singing and tasting in your dreams!!! Pretty cool. I fly often in my dreams. Strange but true and I am always trying to fly away from something that is chasing me. Might I be a bird and a cat is chasing me! :lol3:

I almost always dream in color. And I can manipulate the dreams.  What does that mean?
I wonder if it's because you might be in and out of sleep, sort of half waking up? I have done that at times. I wake up in the middle of a dream sometimes. I clearly remember the dream and then go back to sleep trying to return to the dream. I would imagine you could very well at that point change the course of a dream. :dk:

I dream in color.

Funny you should mention this because last night I had the strangest, weirdest dream. I won't go into a lot of detail, but one thing I distinctly remember is that the sugar packet was red!

I dream in colour too, but sometimes b&w. And I have the flying dreams/chasing dreams quite often. Also, I have zombie dreams a few times a year, and sometimes parts of my dreams are "repeats" that I've dreamed before.
I'd love to be able to lucid dream! One of my most memorable dreams was of flying through the Southern Alps in New Zealand, not in a plane, just by holding out my arms. It was incredibly vivid and exciting, and I'd love to have dreams like that every night. Who needs TV! :lol3:

:lol2: That is funny. But I hope the dream wasn't too "scary" weird for you. :nervous:

OH wow! I feel the same way about my flying dreams. Same with me about holding my arms out. :lol3: I fly from tree to tree - like a bird. Sometimes I fly so high and have to make sure I avoid the telephone wires. I would love to have a vivid dream about flying through Norway or Sweden. :lol3: I never really know what is chasing me but whatever it is I need to get away. I wish I knew what that was.
