Just curious of others experiences.
My very pregnant cat is due, she's had discharge but I was wondering how long until contractions typically start?

Sorry but nearly all vets have very little idea about cat breeds.  Without papers she is a domestic shorthair, which is what most cats are.  The next commonest group is the domestic longhair.  She is very cute but her coat is nothing like a real pedigree Bengal.

I hope this link will help some. http://www.raisingwhiskers.com/cat-pregnancy-labor.html I really am not sure on this. I do know that if there is much discharge and it has a foul odor she should be seen by a vet asap if the stages of labor/delivery do not fall into the proper sequence. I hope all is going well. :cross: :vibes::vibes::vibes: for mama and kittens.

Here is another recent thread about "green" discharge. Just trying to find things to help you. http://www.thecatsite.com/t/253489/green-mucus-in-pregnant-cat

Still no contractions, discharge has only been light. It's a watery brown color. BUT I have noticed her vagina is puffy pink... Is that a sign of labor soon?
Vet said discharge color was okay but it should be greenish yellow at time of delivery

Probably not. You don't say where she is from, but over 90% of cats have no pedigree blood and her pattern occurs in non pedigree cats.

She is cute. :)

Update:
No contractions still.
But she was in and out of her box last night and today. She's now on my bed treading on a blanket. She's still nibbling on her food a bit.

QUESTION:

I am trying to pinpoint a closer due date for my cat.  I know she was in heat Jan 28th and possibly starting mating about Feb 1. During that first week of Feb I caught her with a male cat in our yard.  On Feb 10th I caught a second male cat in our yard...both males and my female where together on my back patio.  It surprised me that they were fighting over each other or anything, just looking at each other.  So I assumed that she wasn't in heat anymore and got pregnant prior to the Feb 10th date. At one point my cat even ran up a tree to get away from both males :p

So question is - If a female is in heat, wouldnt two males be territorial over her? If this is the case and she was pregnant prior to Feb 10th then she is past due.  How quickly do they go out of heat and stop mating after having asuccesful mating/pregnant??

I am starting to get worried because my cat is young and has shown all signs of prelabor / stage 1 labor except for consistant strong contractions.  Sometimes she has what i think is possibly soft contractions but they arent consistant.

Debating on taking her into the vet and make sure she isnt having complications.

so my best guess of due date is April 4th-April 16th....but I really expected her to have gotten pregnant before then so I am afraid shes past due.

A vet should be able to tell you how soon she should be due if you are that worried then call your vet and see if they will help you figure it out

Can't resist asking - if you knew she was calling why did you let her out, and why didn't you get her spayed ASAP?  There are so many kittens and cats stuck in shelters, the last thing they need is more kittens being born.
