When is it ok to take away the nursing area. I know it is nessisary for them to have a safe area but both the kitten (buddy) and the mother (Tabby) prefur to be on our bed so they can cuddle with us. The mother will go back in there if we don't put her baby back when she wants him but they both spend the majority of their time out of the box. But the kitten is 12 days old. Is it ok as long as we are in the room then give it back when we leave for a little bit.

I don't see why not. Just make sure Tabby has enough alone time with Buddy that she can teach him cat manners.

We give him back when she wants him back so she gets as much time as she wants with him. We took it away while waiting for a reply but we kept a blanket that was in there so she can put him on something that he has grown up on

She wants it gone during the day it seems like but at night she wants it back cause she didn't want it back till it was time for her kitten to go to bed.
