Hello

This is really bizarre, but I thought I'd share.

Each morning when I'm making my kids lunches, Kitty hangs around on the counters. Oddly, when I get out a plate and begin slicing an apple to put in their bag lunch, Kitty seems to instantly go into 'stealth' mode and watch me slicing the apples crouched down, like he is ready to pounce. He intently watches for the moment when I toss the apple core into the sink and the disposal hole -- like this is a HUGE thrill for him.

He doesn't jump in after it, he just seems to wait for that moment.

It is SO WEIRD! He only does this when I slice apples. Even if he is on the floor or on the other end of the counter he will instantly come running and go into stealth mode, watching!

It is the sound and rapid movment that is triggering the "prey" instinct. He is wanting to attack, but there isn't quite enough to get him to "go for it"
What a fun Kitty!

Really?? That is so interesting!!

You are right. Once I throw the apple into the sink, he just kind of looks at me with a confused look!!
