Rocko's (He's 13 BTW) appointment is tomorrow (Hyperthyoidism checkup, UTI recheck, & the vomitting reason) Last time the vet said she will discuss food choices this appointment, well, Bear needs to go in tomorrow more than Rocko. He has a bad history of UTIs and he is only peeing very little, Rocko's is peeing alot.

So I think Bear needs the vet tomorrow more than Rocko. I hate that I don't have the money for both, hopefully, I will get my school refund check soon. Rocko will just have to wait another 2 weeks. He IS getting better with his thyroid it's just his UTI. :( I feel so terrible.

Anyways, I am going to go ahead and switch Rocko's food for something IBD friendly. He eats can food. Any suggestions? I don't care if I have to buy it online. I prefer it to be on Amazon if possible since I got Amazon Prime that I can buy from. What is the proper and healthy way to switch food brands?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Also this is off-topic I guess, where do people go to look up pet food recalls? That horrible recall from a couple of years back makes me so paranoid.

Gosh, so sorry we did not see this sooner. I will ask that your thread be moved to Nutrition for you! There are many members with cats who have IBD and can offer you many, many nutrition suggestions for that condition.

Here is a link to a website that belongs to one of our members who is an IBD guru.  There is lots of info on this website, but I've linked you directly to the "food" page.  (and there are lots of things you can get thru Amazon
)   This site discusses transitioning foods, etc., but if he is already on canned, switching shouldn't be a problem, I wouldn't think.

Good luck with Bear
. Hopefully you can get his UTI cleared up right away, poor guy.  Then get working on Rocco
