What a relief!  (Oh, I guess Laurie just said that!)  Always a worry, even though this is such a common surgery.  Tomorrow can't come soon enough, I know.

The vast majority of cats like people do just fine in surgery. I say this as both a physician, someone who myself has survived life saving operations with a heart murmur and who has o one spayed cat with a minor murmur. Really, she would be so much better off with the spay surgery. I would have a vet cardiologist -if you have very serious concerns u
Take a look @ her an echo or other diagnostic tests) b. Good luck. I am sure your little one will be just fine.

Abisiobhan, Delilah HAD the surgery today, and all went well. :D :D :D She gets to go home tomorrow, her vet wanted her to spend the night because of her health history. :rub:

Yes I am very relieved and so happy! Delilah is home! She was so cute when I got her home. She was giving me tons of headbutts and kisses, then she crawled up in my lap and was purring away and kneading away. I think she missed me as much as I missed her. Unfortunately for her, she might have to wear the cone when I am not around. After she got her love time in she decided she was going to start messing with her incision. She was distracted for a bit by the bandage from the IV, but after I took that off she was going for the belly. I am watching her like a hawk for now.

Penelope's turn is on Monday, she will get to come home that same night. While I will still worry, it will be a bit less of a worry for her.

Here she is with her cute blue star bandage before I took it off and she started trying to groom her belly. She was so happy to have the cone off.

I know, she is sleeping at the moment. I have repeatedly had to make her leave it alone. I am going to pick her up one of the soft ones if she does need it, that way it will be more comfortable.

Maybe I will try that, I might just have to run to walmart and see if there is one small enough.

I went shopping for a friend's very preemie baby, and they do have onesies for 3-pound babies now. . . sad that that's necessary :(. So unless she's smaller than I think, I bet they do have a size that'll fit. Post a pic of her in her clothes! ;) :lol3:
