silly story about last night and a cat of mine..

Just wanted to share a silly cute story about one of my cats.

I woke up in the middle of the night last night and couldn't sleep so I decided to read my book on kindle via iPhone while laying on my stomach in bed. As usual, I have cats all over me sleeping on me. Spike noted that I was awake and reading so he came over to my head and started nuzzling me in the face which made it impossible for me to read. (He is seriously OBSESSED with rubbing his nose against my nose and would do that forever if I let him).

I moved my head away so I could continue to read and he kept moving around until he blocked the iPhone with his body then proceeded to nuzzle me again. After a while, he got fed up with me and laid down on top of my left arm and put his head on my hand which I used to scroll with on kindle. Luckily, I was able to continue reading BUT in an uncomfortable position so I wouldn't disturb Spike too much. *rolling eyes*

It was so cute. I wish I could've taken a picture.

what does your cats do when you wake up in the middle of night and can't sleep?

I was visualizing the cuteness you described from your Mr. King of Nuzzlers cat. Sooo sweet and one of those moments you will always have in your head ( and will provide future smiles every time you think of him) . When I can't sleep I go downstairs to the sofa and 12 little kitty feet follow me and they make a left to the kitchen while I make a right to the family room. They get faked out that it must be morning breakfast time. So after a few minutes all 3 kitty heads are peering around the corner looking at me wondering what's up? Of course they at least get a treat then.

Tippy likes to sleep cuddled on my left arm and at some point decides she needs to wash my face. You all know what that rough tongue feels like -- but I hate to pull away from her as I don't want to hurt her feelings. Now any non-cat person reading that statement "don't want to hurt her feelings" would think it''s crazy --- but I know all of you understand.

Abby will snuggle up to me with her face near mine and purr up a storm.

Spencer will bring me his rattle toys so that we can play fetch.

Katie just steps all over me demanding attention of any kind.

 Cute stories!  It's not so much what Angel does when I can't sleep, but more like what he does when I'm trying to sleep.  He's usually pretty good, & hasn't done this in a long time, but lately, he has been waking up around 5:30, or 6:30, & decides he wants me to get up, so he can eat!

First, he will sit in front of my face & give me a couple of little taps on my temple, cheek, or head, like, "hey mom, wake up." If that doesn't work,

sense I try to ignore him, he will jump up on the bed to cross it, crossing right over my stomach! (sometimes stepping on my stomach & boob! OUCH!)  Or, he'll jump up, walk around my head, & jump back off.    I do my best to ignore him.

I will just turn on my side, so I don't get to stepped on.

I won't feed him before 7:00, because I don't want him thinking that is the new routine!
