Cat threw up??

JUST because I spent the last 72 hours renting a professional carpet cleaning machine and steaming the carpets until they looked glorious and new, and JUST because I took it back to the rental place last night, Captain Cuddles decided to throw up in the middle of the carpet today. She's never done this before and I don't know if it's normal or ok?? There was no hair in it, it was just kind of a yellowish color and looked like kibble. She hasn't eaten anything weird (just her Purina Naturals kibble that my roommate buys) and half a tin of Fancy Feast that I gave her yesterday afternoon. She's been here 6 months and has never thrown up so obviously I have no idea why or if she's sick or something. She had tape worm a few months ago but it went away after taking meds. Is a cat throwing up normal?? Are there any other signs I should look for to make sure she's alright? She seems fine, she's currently eating more kibble...

Its very possible that she just ate too quickly and that is what caused her to throw up, since you said it looks like its just kibble. With that said, make sure to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't show any other signs of being ill, if she starts acting ill or vomits more, make sure to take her in to the vet to get checked out.
