Fluffers Had Her Kittens!!

And it all happened so fast!

Out of the blue today she was more friendly than she'd ever been. Then this afternoon she just got in her box which she'd ignored for the past 3 weeks. 10 minutes later she had her first kitten!

Over an hour she had 3 in total. Now it's been an hour and she hasn't had anymore, but I think I still feel one in there. How likely is it that she is going to have more after a break? She still looks pretty big...

The 3 so far look healthy and weigh 99 grams, 106 grams, and a 112 grams. I was worried for a moment when I had the scales on the wrong setting. It was on a setting called "pennyweight" and it was saying they were all around 65. Thankfully I realised and switched it to grams!

I'll have pictures soon. Right now I'm waiting to see if there are any more...

she may have a pause - hours, even a couple of days, or she is done but just some swollen inside. both variants possible, and if you arent really experienced - you cant really know.

The key to know, calmly watch and await, OR be nervous and highly consider phoning vet, is how she behaves.  If she is calm, contend, and happily busying herself with the kittens - watch, but you can wait, you dont need to panic.

If distress of any sort, watch double carefully - and probably you shall contact your vet...

She seems very happy with her 3 kittens, except when she comes out to eat and they're hanging on her nipples and she has to take them all back inside!

Her belly feels much softer now than earlier, so maybe 3 is the final number. I was expecting more because she got so big! Oh, and I'm a grandpa, not a grandma 

1st Kitten Out: 106 grams

3rd kitten wouldn't cooperate, so here's a group shot instead!

What was amazing was that I wasn't sure when she mated, but I estimated that she'd have them on April 1st and she did!

They've been a little slow to gain weight. Not sure if it's a problem yet. The 1st kitten gained nothing on day 1 but gained 14 grams on day 2. The 2nd kitten out gained 4 grams on day 1 and then 10 grams on day 2. The 3rd kitten gained 2 grams on day 1 and then 5 grams on day 2. So that 3rd kitten is a little slow to gain...

The slow gain on the first day is normal, sometimes they even loose a couple grams. Keep an eye on the slow gainer and it should be fine.

there is always a runt of the litter. with my litter it was first out the biggest first out the smallest lmao so my baby girl only had one kitten but congrats to mom and babies and grandPa (did on perpose cause of earlier)

Oh, so they are healthy and strong, to have such good suckle, no problems with that!
