Any weird things your cats like eating?

When I was a girl we had a cat that loved cantalope and watermelon.

My cat loves olives, black beans, and Goldfish crackers.  When he was a kitten, he was crazy about pancakes. 

Also, Molly loves to gnaw on the "ears" of my owl statues...I have to put them up where she can't get to them...

My roommate peeled one of those protective screen covers off her phone....Foo grabbed it and tried to eat it.  We had to chase him through the house to get it before he could swallow it.  I don't understand the appeal of eating plastic???

Every time I buy fresh turnip greens to cook, I have to keep a close eye on Julie. I caught her trying to drag 2 lbs of them once.

Spice was just eating small pieces of Frosted blueberry PopTarts, including the filling.

Haha, these were so funny to read! My Wally LOVES just about any green vegetable! He goes nuts for lettuce, snap peas, broccoli, kale, you name it! If we leave any of it on the counter, in or out of the bag, he will be all over it in less than a minute. The funny part is his brother Ollie used to look at him like, "What the heck are you doing?", but now whenever I put vegetables in their food dish, Ollie comes over and starts eating away with his brother! Haha, I now tell people that Wally has been a good influence on his brother :lol3:

My cat will eat anything semi edible, bugs, all types of people food.  I have to watch carefully as she steals food and will take the human baby's food in a second.  She also rips up money, bills, paper.  Her favorite is money though.  Can't leave it laying out.  She will also rummage through purses to find stuff to steal, shred, and/or eat. 

Poppy used to eat peanut butter. She got a UTI last year, though, so we decided it probably wasn't good for her and discontinued it.

Poppy'll gnaw on cardboard. I have a lot of books whose spines have cat tooth marks. (That's not a sign she's looking for fiber, is it?)

My cat Momo likes to eat plastic, its really concerning because thats bad for her health. She also likes to eat string and anything that makes a crinkling noise, haha she also likes smoothies! the only human food she will eat. My cat Bear will eat anything- i actually have lab blocks for my rats and if i leave them out he gets into them and eats as many as he can. He also liked algae wafers, hot sauce(oops), and all kinds of other stuff, if you leave any kind of food around he will eat it guaranteed.

My black cat Jackson loves chewing on plastic too. I think for him it's the texture and crinkling sound because he doesn't actually ingest it. I do try and keep all soft plastics out of his reach. 

Cooper likes bread and grains. We have to hide cornbread when I make it. Who knows what he ate as a kitten since I got him from rescue. 

Our Siamese-ish Yoda, loves broccoli and asparagus!!  It's hard to share with him, though, because I keep breaking out laughing!

Yesterday we caught Mogli dipping his paw in the mustard jar and licking it off. That wasn't the first time he was caught, and he seems to like all different kinds of mustard. Yesterday it was sweet Bavarian mustard, but he's also eaten mustard with horseradish, Dijon mustard and the standard yellow goop. He likes ketchup, too.

Mellowcreme pumpkins, green vegetables and any type of bread or pastry are all on several of the ladies' love lists.

Hazel, who has been gone a long time, loved the juice from cantaloupe. 

Scooter really enjoys the smell of strawberries. Drives him crazy when I bring them home. He meows, tries to get on the counter. When I put one down for him, he just rubs his head on it--purring. Never actually eats it though.

Ha. I just posted that my long gone cat Hazel did as well.

Whenever my kitten sees me eating anything she insists on joining me. She gotten into the habit of trying to swat food off my fork so it falls on the floor. Or her favorite trick, she jumps on the chair I'm siting on and sits by my head, every time I go to put a spoonful or fork full of food in my mouth she tries to intercept it with her mouth! That's how she learned that she loves organic Greek Yogurt 

Jed became picky about his own food, but he wants to eat anything I eat. Last month it was french fries. A few weeks ago it was a salad leaf that I dropped accidentally. Today it was a piece of ramen noodle. He likes bread crumbs too - always stealing it off my roommate's plate.

Oh man. One of our boys has a bad habit of crawling under the loveseat to eat the cotton candy-like fabric (batting?). We already refinished the underside of the couch with faux leather to stop him from eating it there, but he quickly found an alternate source. We'll be replacing the underside of the chair with faux leather this holiday. Otherwise, he likes spinach and broccoli, and if he can, he'll scavenge for potato chips if they're left out >:C

Our cats get BB hard and Weruva canned. Why one wants to eat the underside of the chair blows my mind.

I know cats don't taste sweet but my cat Max gravitates to anything sugary. We used to have to watch his weight a lot when he was younger but now he's settled. He once ate a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. He'll eat cake batter if you leave it out. He'll drink milky coffee too. He gets a soft boiled egg on Christmas day...

It seems like these feeds are not really active anymore. But I am glad to know my kitty is not weird...er than other kitties!
