I forgot to mention Magnus stole a ginger cookie off of my plate before and ate it before I could get it away from him.

Hi, New here just thought I'd jump right in.

Zoe my little kitty is about 13 weeks and she loves eating plastic bags, tin foil and really weirdly hair. Human Hair. I keep mine short but my bf's got a decent length pony tail and Zoe loves Noming on it and chewing up strands from his hoodies and that.

Foo is "on the hunt" this morning......we had chicken, bacon, ranch pizza last night.....smells like the perfect food as far as he is concerned.  The leftovers are in the microwave, and he apparently can smell it, as he is sitting in front of the microwave trying to figure out how to open it.

None of my current cats eat anything strange.

Many years ago we had a big blue DSH named Gus. One day l took a large roast of beef out of the freezer and decided to thaw it in a sinkful of cold water while l was at work. Of course, when l got home, Gus had gotten the roast out of the water, out of its packaging, and l found it gnawed-on on and bleeding into my carpet in the middle of the living room.

That should have been my first prod towards raw feeding.

I was just wondering. My cat Max (who has passed on) used to eat string all the time when we weren't home and he would always throw it up. I have heard of other cats eating chinese food, pickles, and olives and such and I just wanted to ask about your experience with weird foods your cat(s) eat. Thanks.
Ramsey loves pork chops (maybe not so strange) but he also loves mashed potatoes as well. 'Bitz loves to roll a pea around the floor and then eat them. I don't allow this very often with her. I also have some dangerous snackers. Both Hoot and Swiffer love plastic. They will eat any piece of plastic they can get ahold of. Naturally we keep any plastic items to a minimun in the household.

Spice likes pears, lemon pudding (but hates butterscotch) peas, and tomatoes.  Silly and Julie will eat almost anything I eat.  I have to be careful, they can sneak up and outnumber me.

How about butter?  I bought a pound of butter yesterday, and left it on the counter in the package thinking he couldn't get into it.  Wrong....he opened the package, pulled out one of the sticks, opened the paper wrapper, and had scarfed up a tablespoon before I caught him.

My cats aren't to weird in most regards to what they eat.  They'll both lick my plate if I don't get it clean right away, but I usually eat things like mac and cheese or spaghetti.

Doll, however, has this weird things for adhesives and photographs.  Roll of tape?  She's licking it.  Envelope.  Licking it.  Photograph?  Licking it.  I can't wrap my head around it.  Oh.  She also seems to really like hair.  It's kind of a mix of getting all tangled up in it with her claws and headbutting it/chewing on it.  It's weird.  Sometime's she'll chew the little plaster statues I have lying around my apartment.

Oh, and Yue seems to really enjoy licking (drunk) male armpits for some reason.  If I have friends crash at my place because they can't drive, and they sleep without a shirt on, and they'll complain about her in the morning.  If I have a boyfriend/hitchhiker crash and they're not drunk, never any issue.  A few months ago I had a friend pass out on my living room floor wearing a shirt, and I was half worried she was going to claw the armpit of the shirt right out.

oh i get it so they sneak it wen you take it out ? haha why not but tub butter or does he manage to get into it?
Well...I started with a plastic butter dish....he got into that.  Then I got a HEAVY glass butter dish....took 2-3 days, but he figured out how to get the top off.  Then I went to a cooking store and bought one of those fancy french butter keepers where you put the butter in the lid part, turn it upside down and put it into a jar with a flush lid.  The befuddled him for a couple of weeks....but he figured it out.  I'm running out of ideas here...lol.

And they say Himmies are not smart????

Anyone else have a cat that loves green beans?  And lettuce?  How about mushrooms?

Jasio has some of the weirdest tastes in food, though I suppose the green leafy things make a certain amount of sense.

The Niblet is my butter beast.  First time I tried baking with her in the house I thought I was going crazy when the stick of butter vanished from the counter.  The dog hadn't moved her bed, after all.  So I figured that I forgotten to get out the butter and went and got out another stick.  *poof*

I started looking around and finally found The Niblet under my bed happily munching on one stick, with the second right beside her.

Now when I am cooking the butter and other steal-able items remain inside a latched box on the counter.  At least now I can hear it when they pop the latch open.

I have a lettuce eater. As a kitten, Aristotle would steal from Mom's salad and now when I get lettuce out, he is there for a small piece. He is also a fan of Arby's roast beef.

My RB cat Psy
would eat lettuce, green beans, lima beans, brussels sprouts, tomatoes, mushrooms, curry, chili, and just about anything I would eat.  I never gave her much of any of them, it was just funny to see a cat eating brussels sprouts, even without butter.

Ramsey will steal a pork chop, or any kind of pork really, right off the plate if you turn your back. And he's sneaky about it. If you leave the plate unattended you'll see a pork chop being dragged down the hallway! :lol3:

Brussels sprouts?  Even *I* won't eat those!

I did have one foster kitten who loved curries, the only time he would beg for people food was when I was cooking a curry dish.

Oh, and chickpeas, no chickpea was safe around that little guy.

My Gus absolutely loves romaine lettuce. He goes wild for it. Both my cats love Parmesan cheese. I don't know how this happened but its like a drug to them one they smell it.

I think my Gus would eat/drink Clorox cleanup if I let him. He loves the stuff. I barely use it and if I leave it out for a second he basically makes love to the bottle. Crazy cat.
