Hello everyone from Holly and Precious! Precious is my cat and of course she's not participating but I just thought it'd be cute to have her name in the title.
Anyway, Precious is a 7 1/2  year old female Domestic Short Hair. The picture in my avatar is her. She is the only cat that I own. Or should I say that she owns me? lol

Anyway, I am a 30 year old lady from Southwestern Indiana. I am a devout, conservative, traditional, and orthodox Roman Catholic. I tell you this because it is a very important part of who I am and every now and then you'll see something related to my religion in my posts. Do not worry, I won't try to shove religion down anyone's throats or even debate religion on here because I know that is not what this forum is for. I participate in other forums for debating religion.
But yeah, don't be surprised if I ask for prayers for my cat from time to time.

Another important thing to know about me is that I am disabled. I have Borderline Personality Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Fibromyalgia, a Tic Disorder (makes me shrug my shoulders repeatedly) among other things. I am at home 80% of the time.

Thanks everyone! Sorry it took me so long to get back with you all. I am going to try and upload a bunch of pictures of Precious on here today. I won't be uploading all 600 something that I have because that would take a little while but I will upload more than I have now.

I just realized that I did not say much about Precious. As I already said, she is a 7 1/2 year old female Domestic Short Hair. She does have chronic allergies but that is the only preexisting medical condition that she has. She does have a tiny bit of anxiety every now and then and is easily startled but it is not severe enough to need medical treatment. She weighs about 9 lbs. She is a pretty relaxed cat overall but she does have these bursts of energy where she sometimes seems like she has gone psycho. :lol3: She can be incredibly funny at times too. She also loves to be petted and is more than happy to lay on my stomach and get petted when I am in bed. She has a ton of toys and is spoiled rotten (I wouldn't have it any other way ) She can also be rather annoying sometimes and is incredibly stubborn. Sometimes I will tell her to quit doing something and she'll run off but within a few seconds she'll be right back to what she was doing. During times like these I have to put her in the bedroom for a timeout which usually solves the problem so long as I turn the light off in the bedroom so she relaxes. Oh and she was spayed when she was a kitten and gets her vaccinations every year.

This is how I came to get her. One day when I was in RCIA (Catholic conversion classes) in the Winter of 2005 I stopped at my Grandma's house before going to my parish in a town about 30 minutes away. I notice this adorable little kitten who is about 4 months old and is very friendly. In fact, she came up to me and was meowing at me for attention or she probably wanted in too as it was very cold and snowy. I carried her into the house and asked Grandma if I could take her home with me because it was so cold and snowy and I didn't want her to freeze. I wanted to keep her and I made that clear. My Grandma told me that I could take her home but that she was going to look for her owner as Precious had shown up at her house with a blue collar on and so she thought that she must have gotten lost. Well, my Grandma never did find an owner that would claim her and so I got to keep her. Believe me, I am so glad that I have her and while she can be annoying sometimes, I don't know what I would do without her. :D
