Hello, everyone,
I'm looking forward to being more of a full-fledged catsite member.
I have one grey tabby, female, just over a year old - Belakane, an African queen from a medieval, Germanic, Arthurian legend...but i call her Bella for short. She's a former stray who i and my neighbors spotted this past september during an outside, monthly dinner we have during the warmer months. Sadly, just yesterday, i had her retested, and it's confirmed that she has feline leukemia. Because my last of three of cats passed away 4 years ago, she's my only cat.
She's on the small side, but shows no symptoms of the leukemia, has filled out nicely since she's been with me, and except for a remedied UTI and crystals in her urine seems to be in very good health. She's been peeing on the two beds in the house and went once on the couch, and I've tried several fixes which as of yesterday haven't worked. But, last night I put cat attract litter in one of her boxes and and brought home ESSO cat food from the vet which is supposed to prompt her to drink more water and get rid of the urine crystals, so I'm really really hoping that makes a difference.
I love her.
