........what I've always suspected....that cats have it right. I came back from my early, 4-mile run, thinking how beautiful the morning was in NYC. Not a cloud in the sky, early morning sun shining. When I got into my apartment, since I face east, and I'm high up, I opened all my blinds. The sun came streaming in. Larry immediately plopped down on the rug. He looked so comfortable, in the sun, I thought, "I'm going to join you on the floor." I laid down on the floor, Larry purring on his side beside me, the sun warming us, and I almost fell asleep. It was so relaxing.....very Zen-like.

Thanks, Larry, for leading the way.

It's so true! Abby was also in the sun today and had such a content look on her face.

I've done that.....there were times when RB Banshee was sacked out in a sunbeam on the floor and I'd gotten down and joined her. And fallen asleep. Cats have it all figured out.

:D They sure do know how to make the most of the simple things in life like sunbeams.
One major thing that I love about our apartment is that it's east/west facing so we get morning and afternoon sun, which the cats move around to enjoy. They know all the best sunbeam spots. :)

I absolutely adore laying in the sun next to my cats.  I'm lucky enough that my two bedroom windows get lots of light -- west and south-facing.  So the sunlight often streams onto my bed, making it quite a cozy place.  :D
