My cat is irritable and he growls and meows.

Four days ago my cat looked just fine. He ate and drank as usual. However, the following day he refused to eat or drink. He was active but he scratched the garden and the plants in our house. The last time we saw him he was growling and meowing really loud and he is a quiet cat. I couldn't go to the vet, since he just left 4 days ago. What kind of health issues can affect a cat so hard all of the sudden?

IsabelVic,  I'm sorry, I really don't know, especially as the info is limited.  But I did want to make sure you don't have any lillies in the house or garden that he might have had a munch on.  These are rapidly fatal and need a vet asap.

A bit confused about not being able to take to vet?  Your kitty is not acting normal.  That is the only way he can tell you he is not feeling well.

Please take to the vet asap.

Thank you. I don't have any lilies. My cat left 4 days ago, so I wasn't be able to take him to a Vet. I feel really guilty now. My neighbors found him under the bushes...and I can't believe I'not going to see him again. God bless my cat and will remember him always.
