The vet gave me onsior to take care of Silly's pain from two extractions.  She seems to be doing okay with it.  Give me some of your experiences with it, please.

That is what our vet used on our cat and Milo was up for 30 straight hours with out a nap.  The vet had never heard of this before.  No pain but, no sleep and no appetite.  We only gave him 2 of the 3 pills and then said no more.

I overheard two vets (one established, one fresh out of vet school) talk about this medication.  Apparently it's the newest pain med for cats on the market and the new vet really liked it.  But probably hasn't had real life/real vet practice experience with it, only what is in the literature.

Well, my vet has been in practice 20 years that I know of.  I trust her enough to believe she wouldn't give something bad for Silly. I completely read the insert that came with it. I have seen no short-term side effects so far.
