sick kitty!

hi i am a college student and have been feeding this cat for the past few months. I almost think that his owners must have moved or something because now he is coming around more  than ever! anyways he has grown to like mad and even lets me pick him up! sadly the little guy seems sick he is sneezing alot breathing out of his mouth and seems to have a stuffy nose. i want to bring him to the vet but thats going to be super costly anyone know anywhere i could get lost cost vet care? i live in the ny area also anyone know any home remedies i could give him? bringing him to a shelter is not an option so dont bother with that reply , ive really grown to love this guy and want to help him

It sounds like he has an Upper Respiratory Infection.(URI).  If you are planning on keeping him, it is going to be costly to properly care for him.  Will you be able to keep him inside?

Since you are a college student, look around the student union (they still have those, right?) for notices of low-cost care for pets.

Sounds like the kitty needs antibiotics. The only way would be to see a vet. I would check with all local vets and make some calls to see if there is a vet willing to help you on cost. You could also contact a shelter vet and explain that you are a college student. A shelter vet might be willing to help your kitty at cost. Thank you for rescuing this kitty.
