Sorry about the two posts at once
Just have two issues on my mind right now. Anyway. When I got Lily in September, she was 6 weeks old,  and shes 7 and a half months now. I had taken her to the vet because she didn't seem well. The Dr noticed the eye discharge, and she was given antibiotics and cleared it up. Well now, every now and then again, her eye has a lot of green discharge, and I clean the dried goo off her. Is this something to worry about? Her eyes are clear though, and bright blue, and she doesn't seem bothered. And most of the time shes discharge free. I have L-Lysine treats, but I don't give it to her all the time, because the treats are around $15 a bag. Should I take her to the Dr, I wonder if she'll need antibiotics or is this just the feline herpes? And how do I go about keeping her eye clear, she hates me picking the dry boogies off her eyes, but it drives me nuts when I see it, LOL

Thanks again:)

I'm not sure what's causing it, but if it is feline herpes, you could just get the l-lysine at the vitamin/health food store and supplement her food regularly with it. It's a lot cheaper than the treats. If you've noticed the lysine treats working, that's what I would try.

Yes! Lysine treats are pricey for sure.

Since she has already been seen by the vet, you should be able to go pick up a tube of terramycin, or even get it on ebay.

She likely hates her eye boogies messed with because they are crunchy/crusty and it irritates her when you clean them.
