My cat is pregnant with her first every litter!:) She has all the symptoms, like her enlarged nipples, large tummy and from about a week ago we noticed he kittens moving and kicking around in her tummy!:D But about an two or three hours ago she became very clingy and demanding, for example were ever i went she followed and she always wanted my attention. Me just thinking she was just wanting a scratch i sat down besides her until i noticed that she was licking her area frequently. The i chck and saw that her vagina was larger and more visable that normal. Because of this i moved and noticed that wee was a clear liquid on my coat which she had been sitting on and it was still warm. Because of this i went up stairs to prep her birth box, but she followed. Then she layed on my bed leaving afew drops of the clar liquid on the sheets. She had been sat there now for half an hour heavily brathing and begin really retless. Is she in labor as moush info as possible please this is the first time i have owned a cat who is about to give birth- all info helpful THANKYOU!! :) :)

Sounds like labor to me...do you have a birthing area for her? I use half of a cat carrier and put a couple of layers of blankets. Each kitten will have a sac and it can get wet/bloody. I wouldn't let her birth on your bed. Keep her in a quiet room and stay with her if you can. Most want our companionship while birthing.

Well done. Make sure Mum is cleaning babies to stimulate breathing and also eating the placentas. This will give her energy. I would also recommend buying puppy training pads to line the box with as this saves on cleaning dirty sheets/towels and you can dispose of these and put a new one down.

Keep water bowl, litter tray and food by her box and do not let her out once all kittens have arrived. Cats can come into heat very quick after having babies and it is dangerous for her to wander off as well when they need milk so much.

(I would ring your Vet and get some advice as well as leaflets. Worked a treat for me. And of course getitng help from members on this forum)

Yes, keep an eye on her.  I had one that waited 8 hours between the last but one and the last, and I've heard of longer.  While she is happy and relaxed everything is OK.
