Here are a few questions to get things started

1. I love your username. How did you choose it? Thank you! My family used to say that I had, "stars in my eyes" when I was little, and I used to have swim practice at the University of Memphis (Tigers) when I was younger. I just put the two together.

2. How many (non-human) critters live in your home? Two dogs and three cats (Also two fish aquariums: 20 gal, and 55gal)

3. What are their names and species? Ranger and Mykelti are both Australian Shepherds (dogs), and I have three senior cats: Lucky, Kojak, and Isabella

4. Do you prefer a hot climate or cold climate or something in between? Cold! But that's probably because I live in a warmer climate and I'm hot natured!

5. What did you do for your last vacation? I have not had a vacation in years; I'm overdue! If I had the chance to go on one soon; I'd love a nice, simple trip to a cabin somewhere in the mountains in West TN, with shopping nearby/sight-seeing!

What's your favorite snack? Lately, it's been pistachios if I want something salty, or honey crisp apples with nutella if I want something sweet

5. What do you usually have for breakfast?.. This morning I made bacon, egg whites, and a fruit/veggie smoothie. (I've been trying to really make myself eat breakfast lately, because I'm bad about forgetting, then eating bad throughout the rest of the day.)
6. What was the best time in your life?..:9: I had a lot of good memories in high school. I'm hoping the best times of my life are ahead of me though.
7. What food do you dislike? .. I HATE mushrooms, most beans, and a anything with artificial sweeteners
8. What is your favorite CD at moment? :music: The Lumineer's (self-titled cd)
9. Have you ever drive a boat? Does a jet ski count? I've driven one of those before! Never an actual boat though.
10. Can you Swim?... Yes, Sir! I swam competitively when I was younger!

The first time I went to college I was a MUID major: The Eric Whitacre concert I sang in was amazing; it was so nice getting to meet such an talented conductor, and singing under him! / When I was a student RCP: My favorite memory during clinicals was helping to save lives, and helping people feel better! I'll also never forget going into a room to give a breathing treatment, and finding that the patient was peeing out of the window! Yup! (I didn't even think they could open the windows, but I was wrong! Needless to say, they moved him onto the "happy floor" after that happened lol!)
5. Do you have an appliance at home that was manufactured more than 20 years ago and still works? Yes!! My iced tea maker, and my hand-held mixer, and my television!
6. Do you have a good sense of direction or do you rely on maps or gps when going to places you aren't very familiar with?
I have a very good sense of direction, but I am a very nervous driver. So, I make a better navigator. If I'm driving, I plan ahead and look at routes before I start, so I'm not as nervous

Baking usually ends badly for me though; I even screw up Pillsbury cookies! (Oddly enough though, I can make Cheesecakes well. That is it!)

Do you exercise? I do. My pups and I take daily walks in the park, I run them in Agility, and I also go to the gym as well for more cardio and strength training. (I had some severe complications from a heart procedure a while back that lead to me not being able to do too much, so now I'm trying to lose weight..

Are you named after anyone? I'm named after Lydia in the Bible (New Testament). She was the first convert to Christianity in Rome, and she sold purple linens. I'm not sure where my mom picked up Nichole for my middle name; I think she just liked it.

Okay I'm officially in love with you because of your taste in music. Not only are Incubus and Green Day in my top 5, but you are the first person I have heard say they are also obsessed with The Lumineers! For those who don't have the album get it immediately- it's increadible.

I am just curious what your experience with cats has been:

Did you grow up with them or was it a later in life discovery?

How many cats have you had?

You said you currently have three senior cats. Did you adopt them as kittens or when they were older?

And you foster? We all have a type (feral, special needs, queens and kittens)- whats yours?

Okay and a random question. You said you are jonesing over Justin Timberlake's "Suit and Tie" (as am I). Did you see him on Saturday Night Live? More importantly, did you see his skit where he was the dancing tofu? If not you must- it's seriously one of the most hilarious things I have ever seen in my life!

Did you grow up with them or was it a later in life discovery? I adopted my first kitten, Velvet when I was 11 from the Humane Society. I had her up until two years ago when she had CRF. She was the most amazing cat that I've ever owned and I miss her a lot!
How many cats have you had? A lot! I've fostered hundreds of kittens and hospice cats, so I'm not sure what the exact number is now. As far as my personal kitties go right now though, I have three and I don't plan to have any more once they pass on, but I will continue to take care of foster kittens/special needs fosters when I have the time.
You said you currently have three senior cats. Did you adopt them as kittens or when they were older? Kojak was a rescued bottle baby, Isabella was also a rescued kitten, and Lucky I brought home as a Senior almost two years ago when my family moved and was unable to keep him; he's been in our family for around 15-16yrs.
And you foster? We all have a type (feral, special needs, queens and kittens)- whats yours? Bottle Babies are my favorites, followed by hospice/special needs senior cats.I have a soft spot for those sweet older/special needs kitties that get overlooked in shelters/rescues.

Okay and a random question. You said you are jonesing over Justin Timberlake's "Suit and Tie" (as am I). Did you see him on Saturday Night Live? More importantly, did you see his skit where he was the dancing tofu? If not you must- it's seriously one of the most hilarious things I have ever seen in my life! 7.- Would you like to work like a volunteer on a Cat shelter? :rub: No. I've had enough to last me a lifetime since I used to work for animal control and I've helped out at quite a few shelters and rescues over the years. That being said, I still enjoy fostering in my home when I have the time though.

Least favorite flower?Carnations. More specificaly, pepto bismol pink ones! Hurricane Elvis struck on my first night of Floral Design School, and all of the shops in our area lost power and flowers. So, the only one that we were able to get flowers from sent us carnations every day. We designed with them for weeks! Although I like the scent of carnations, I still hate the look of them to this day lol
