So the back story is that the cat belongs to my roommate, but she never takes care of it or cleans the litter box, so I had to set up a second (clean) litterbox in my closet for her to use. I'm not sure what her poop looked like before, because I didn't have access to her old litter box, but I'm noticing that some days there is alot of fur in her poops. She is a super long haired cat (that I try to keep medium length by trimming/grooming daily) but she never ever throws up fur balls and I'm starting to worry that all that hair shouldn't be going through her system. Is this normal? or something I should be concerned about? It's not every day, and some days her poo looks healthy and normal (compared to cats I've had growing up). Other days though it is either furry (literally) or this weird hollow shape with fur running through the middle of it. It's hard to describe but it's weird. What can I do to remedy this?
