Are you used to palpate her belly? Or at least, touch?  Is she used?  You mean, she feels totally different? Is she very big?  If very big, the skin will be more tense than usual.

Tummy feeling as a solid mass may be her muscles are veru tensed...  And yes, tensed muscles may be symptome of something serious.

Unless she tensed them because you were palapting. Or something.

How is she behaving otherwise?  Do she seems in pains of some sort?  Cant go to the litter?

If you are worried, do phone your vet.  It is often the best advice.

Good luck!

Yea im used to touching her belly and she doesn't really seem to mind she sometimes gets uncomfortable if I do it too long. She doesn't seem to be in pain and she goes to the bathroom fine. Her belly.is just right from pregnancy but I just can't feel individual lumps that are supposed to be the kittens

As they grow i'm sure you'll be able to feel them more distinctly. The initial first movements normally just feel like little bubbles or popping, in a week or two you'll be able to feel their heads pressing up against your hand and even see them moving. Unless she's having a small litter, then it might be a little less likely to feel movement that intense
