Make sure to read the list - several CAT foods are involved.

Dear Natura Family,

As pet parents and dedicated pet health advocates, it pains us to inform you of the first recall in our company's 21-year history.

During a recent random sampling, the FDA confirmed the presence of salmonella in one of our products. We take this extremely seriously, because your pets are like ours – they're part of the family – and we aren't taking any chances. As a result, we have voluntarily recalled a number of our products as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, there have been no reported animal or human health issues associated with these products, and we have confirmed that this is not a widespread issue.

Natura was founded on the commitment to provide the healthiest natural pet food in the world. As Natura employees who live this commitment every day, words cannot express our disappointment with this finding. We place quality as the cornerstone of our products. It is a process of ongoing improvement, and we will continually review and raise these standards. Unfortunately, salmonella and other contaminants pose a great challenge to the food industry, and no company is immune.

We want to assure you, our valued customers, that we are more committed than ever to animal and human safety. We have fully investigated and identified the cause of this incident. Our production is ongoing, and you can continue to feed any Natura products outside of this incident with confidence.

We know that trust is earned. This incident further fuels our passionate commitment to your pet's health and safety. We promise to demonstrate this commitment through our actions now and in the future.

Click here for details on the recall products. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at (800) 224-6123.

Sincerely,
Employees of Natura Pet Products

Fortunately, CALIFORNIA NATURAL is just their "DOG KANGAROO & RED LENTILS GRAIN FREE"

I didn't see any indication of CN Cat Food troubles.

I have a bag of Evo dry with the lot number listed.
But guess I got lucky cause we've had no issues and the bag is almost empty. I had also already started switching back to wellness core. So the bag now has some Core mixed in. I have never had any of their food involved in a recall before. What do you do? Return the unused portion to the store?

Well guess this happens when you take a good company at the beginning then sell it off to Proctor and Gamble!!! I used innova all the time at the beginning but it gradually became worse. Used the red small canned cat food. Been using California Natural chicken a brown rice for cats for years though that seems not the same. I hope thats not next on the list!! What canned food is actually good these days??? Have tried everything upscale cats will not eat it except maybe weruvia. But they barely fill the cans and its costly. As Junky as it is Fancy feast has had no recalls and it seems the safest at this point??

OMG!!! Same here!!! EVO 2.2 lb Turkey & Chicken Cat & Kitten Formula, lot number 2366A70004. But I've been giving my kitties a small amount of this food with no effects. I'm throwing it out now, though. Thank you for the alert!!! I was giving all three of my babies Wellness Core dry as a supplemental feed but decided to switch to EVO because I thought it was the better product (lower carbs, etc.). Maybe I'll go back to Wellness Core now???

RE: WELLNESS CORE........

'Just thought I'd drop a tidbit of info in here - as a couple of people have suggesting "returning" to it.

You might want to take a look at 2 relatively new Core products....because...they CONTAIN NO FISH.

Here you are: http://www.wellnesspetfood.com/product-details.aspx?pet=cat&pid=132

And the second, this one with reduced fat (20% less than regular Core): http://www.wellnesspetfood.com/product-details.aspx?pet=cat&pid=133

Chez nous, we're finally rid of (what I consider to be) the Orijen scourge and using the first one above - quite happily
too!

Mine also had no ill effects from the EVO.

I returned my unused bag to my local store ( I hadn't even purchased it there, and it was almost empty) and they were willingly going to refund my money. I instead used it for store credit and stocked up on my kitties new favorite wet Natural Balance.

I had already decided, prior to this recall, to return to Core and so had purchased a bag already. I use the indoor. But I am also working on getting them off the dry altogether. This will be my last bag of dry I think.
