I received a gift basket yesterday and the basket portion was this:

I hate to throw it out and am looking for creative uses for it. I was thinking maybe a magazine basket. Any other ideas?

A carrier for going to the drugstore.  A place to put all the remotes.  A fast-grab first-aid kit.

If all else fails, give it to the cats.  I'm sure they would have fun shredding it.

Magazines would work. Or a catch-all for yarns or materials or books or whatever. I think it's gorgeous.

Not sure if it is to big but could put the florist foam in and make it a fake flower holder if your into that.  To me it looks like a cat cubby just needing a soft blanket

That is a very nice looking basket and could be used as a carry-all. OR pretty enough to lay some pretty dried flowers in the basket. OR to hold crafts near the couch (as long as Abby would leave the "crafts" alone - not in my house :lol3:) OR something to keep your hats/scarfs/gloves all together near your back door or closet or garage. OR  A garden carry-all to put your tools, etc. :D

It's too small for Abby, but a little too big for fake flowers. :lol3:

Do you have a guest bath?  (And guests that stay overnight?)  You could roll some pretty towels and put them in it (even just extra hand towels) and maybe some lotion or other toiletries for them to enjoy.

No, no guest bath. No real overnight guests in a while either. :lol3:

Gosh that's just too nice not to use again. My first thought was a magazine holder too.

I agree.  I just see using this for a baby shower gift holder packed with some essentials.  Or a new pet parent:)

Oooo I LOVE your throw pillows!

I'd probably use the basket to keep sewing stuff in. Or even better, all the cords for charging up iPods, laptops, cell phones, etc. Or k-cups for my coffee maker (we get the big boxes at Costco). It would also be nice for holding ribbon spools (kept lurking around the wrapping paper) around the holidays, too. I might keep it in the car truck to hold extra stuff like the tire pressure gauge, gloves, cell phone charger, flashlight, etc.

It's such a nice basket I want one.
