I had taken in a stray with 2 brand new kittens, well "momma" had gotten out and gotten pregnant before we could have her spayed. Well now she is due any day now, pretty sure she has lost her mucus plug, and she has become extremely affectionate and is beginning to shy away from food, she has begun nesting as well.
Anyways she has been inviting (if thats the right word) her 4 month old kittens to nurse, what should i do about this, ive tried to seperate them but they just kjnda stay at the door crying for each other.

Im just not quite sure if i should let it be, or if it is unsafe and bad for her health so far in her pregnancy, or if she is doing it because her teets are sore and hurting. I just dont know really how to handle this.

I'd be looking to get the 4-month old kittens neutered ASAP.  They will be becoming sexually mature quite soon, the last thing you want is another oops litter especially with each other, if they are of opposite sexes, or a boy with his mum.

Think I'd be discouraging the kittens suckling - if they get back into the habit they will only have to lose it again once the new ones are born.  You can't mix new-borns with kittens of that size.

As far pregnant as she is, this is normal. I have had pregnant rescues steal kittens from another's nest an try to suckle them. Older kittens probably smell the mum starting to re-lactate. And remember the comfort. That is my best guess. I wouldn't let them, mummy needs are her energy and vitamins for labor and new litter. Its like humans nursing while pregnant. It can be done but depletes mum body.

Oh that is good news!! I have 8 kitten homes and one for my queen lined up! I'm going to wait to see how many more kittens there are before putting anyone else on my waiting list.
