Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Today's question is two parts. 1) Do you have any Irish in you, 2) Do you celebrate St. Paddy's Day?

I am part Irish. Biologically (I'm adopted), we were told I'm mainly Irish, Scottish and Welsh. Plus my dad who raised me was mainly Irish so I have a soft spot for St. Paddy's Day.

I don't celebrate as much now as when I was a kid, although I AM wearing green. I remember growing up and going to my aunt's house for corned beef and sourdough bread. She was from Ireland, and loved St. Paddy's day because she could make the food she grew up with. Apparently, they don't really celebrate it in Ireland, but I guess it's St. Paddy's day every day there! Before I die, I WILL go to Ireland and catch me a leprechaun!

No Irish in me but don't they say that on St. Paddy's day everyone is a little Irish. When we lived in NY years ago I remember how much fun the parade was and all that people running around town with red noses and having a blast --- green bagels were a big thing then.

I've got "Irish blood" on both sides of the family and used to celebrate St. Patrick's Day when I lived in the U.S., but it's not big here at all, except among the Irish ex-pats.

Not as much Irish blood as I would like (my gr.gr.grandfather was born in Ireland), but to me, that's Irish
We don't really celebrate, although I am wearing my green "Ireland" hoodie.

I have some Irish blood, but am mostly English/German; but I do have the red hair and green eyes (the Vikings, as usual, have a lot to answer for!).

Hubby is only German and a bit of Welsh, so he's not into all of this green stuff. I do decorate the house, though--mostly just green items; not much St. Patrick's Day-specific stuff. I love all of the shades of green!

I usually bake Irish soda bread for work, but found I was out of raisins Thursday night, so I didn't. I always take that, homemade jam, butter, and tea bags to work, and set them on the table in our office.

Today, I am wearing a green blouse, my Celtic-patterned green silk/wool shawl/scarf and green and silver jewelry.

We just came back from our favorite restaurant, who was having a celebration, but we got tired of waiting for the advertised Irish clog dancers, and went home. And the band was AWFUL.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
I've got Irish blood in me. All the way from Belfast in Northern Ireland where my dad's ancestors came from, and where a lot of my second cousins still live.

When they came over because of the potatoe famin a lot of them settled in Scotland, so l also have Scottish blood in me. Dad's parents came further down the country to where l am now, so l was made in England

I had been invited over for St Patricks day but it was short notice, but l've vowed to go over and see them all next year

I don't know if I have Irish blood. My ancestors were on the first Federal Census that was done in 1790. At that time, they were living in the same county where I was born and still live. As for celebrating that day, no I don't.

No Irish in us that I know of (mainly Danish and French), but my sister was born on March 17.  Her middle name is Colleen.

I don't think I have any Irish.  We sort of celebrate St Patrick's day as it's my brother's birthday and it comes along for the ride
