I have 4 cats, one of them is on medication for an overactive thyroid,he is mostly very good at taking his tablet but this morning he wouldn't take it so I put it up out of the way(or so I thought,)in the tuna In was hiding it in.When I came back my other cat had jumped up and had eaten it!Will it harm him?

Hi hayleyfranks1.. welcome to TCS!

Tablets for hyperthyroidism work by slowing down the release of thyroid hormones.  They usually take a little while to kick in.

You should probably ask your vet, but one is most unlikely to do any harm.  There's a slight chance your cat may be a little lethargic and not quite so hungry, but then his own hormones will sort him out.

Of course if he starts vomitting, or has any other major side effects, he must go to the vet urgently.
