Sorry Joey isn't feeling well. Yes, he could have a cold.
Is he eating okay: If a cat can't smell cause he has a cold, he won't eat. If he doesn't eat anything in 24 hours, e-vet time (especially if a kitten). How he is acting, any differently?
Keep an eye out on him, maybe call your vet or the evet for advice. If he seems congested, you could take him into the bathroom, turn on the shower full blast, and get some steam going.
He is eating and drinking. His ears are warmer than normal and he is sleeping more(he sleeps a lot when he is normal).
He doesn't get up to go eat though, and since we adopted him, we haven't taken him to a vet at all because he hasn't be sick at all.
And im laying with him to keep an eye on him.
How long ago did you adopt him? It's very common for recently adopted kitties to get an upper respiratory infection within a month or so of adoption. I would strongly recommend a vet visit, not only because he's not feeling well, but also because it's good to develop a relationship with a good vet.
When you adopt a new cat you should always bring it to the vet for a checkup. You don't know what you're bringing into your home and what the kitty might be carrying.
Just keep an eye out on him, and if he misses at meal, two at the max, take him right away to the vets. (Cats can develop fatty liver disease if they don't eat; ironically, the bigger (fatter) the cat, the quicker he/she can develop FLD.) If he hides, that's also a sign that a vet needs to be consulted.
He looks a lot better and I think he is back to normal. The bad thing is I have to be with the family today and wont be home until night.
But as far as I can see he is recovering.
