I think we've had a tattoo question before, and quite recently, but having them done seems to be so prevelent these days.  I'm amazed at who is turning up to class with them! So, for those who don't have one (which includes me) I can't resist asking:

If tattoos were obligitory, what would you have and where?

and if you do have tattoos:

What would your next one be, and where?

Hmmmm. I don't have one and have never given any thought to it. Perhaps something in honor of my father and maybe on my hip or ankle.

I would have little cat paws running up the back of my right leg, from my ankle to my knee area.

Never had a desire for a tattoo and never will. For people who have them, what happens when you get old and wrinkled --- what do the tattoos look like?

Fun question!

I would have the eyes, ears and a few whiskers of a cat peeking over my pant line on my hip or lower back off to one side.  It would have blue eyes.  I've been thinking about this for quite a while.  I just need to loose enough weight first.

I like the idea of coming up with something to commemorate my kids but I haven't gotten any ideas yet.  My BFF is heavily tattooed for a woman.  She has a mermaid scene now on one arm for her kids.  There is a big age gap between them so she had it added to after her son was born.  She said the tattoos were a phase; she doesn't regret them but she isn't looking for new ones like she used to.  She does have a cheetah print tattoo on one shoulder that is awfully cute!

Another friend of mine is probably the last person I'd expect to get one; but when she lost a baby at 18 weeks she commemorated him on the back of her shoulder.  Angel wings holding a sleeping newborn.  So it has deep meaning to her.

A lot of you are taking me too seriously.. Of course it would be appalling if we had to have tattoos!  Maybe I should have said if they weren't permanent?  It's just a way of finding out what is important and aesthetic to us.

For example, if they were a part of our culture, or removeable, or whatever, I would have a beautiful Om filled with paisley design on my wrist.

MoochNNoodles, your friend's angel tattoo truly brought a tear to my eye.
