hi thre,

i hope someone could help me.

my neighbours went and rescued a kitten at the time around 18 months ago. ever since the first day i saw her i fel in love with her. she loves attention and is a very loving cat.

the cat has always come over to my house to see me and also loves to come and see the people i live with ( i live in a rented house) so she came in, and after a while it got worse and worse she is here every day dissapears for a few hours and then comes back, she sleeps in my room with me at night, i went to see the owners and they said to me to not let her get to comfy. at first i was feeding her cat treats but then stopped as i cantacted the RSPCA as to what to do as she was not my cat. eventually ive had to stop her from coming in as she has started to rip up my carpet and pull wires from the t.v. it has snowed quite allot this year and she has bin sitting outside my door almost sounded like she was screaming to come in and she scratches at my door. she is outside my door 24/7 so i give in and let her come in, she has lost weight and is now limping. i have gone and spoke to the owners and they told me to throw her out and stop treating her so well!!! i then got back in contact with the RSPCA and they have said they will look into it and since then absolutly nothing has changed! what should i do? i was thinking of taking her to my mum who also loves animals and has suitable accomidation for a cat unlike me.

Thanks

Thank you for caring for this cat.

I don't know what the laws are in England (where I assume you live), but in the USA, I would consider the cat abandoned and yours to do with as you wish/can/will.  I would take the cat to the vets (say you found it walking along the streets) for treatment of the limp and weight loss.  Do you know if she has been spayed?  If not, she needs to be or you/someone will be taking care of kittens soon.

Then, sure, if your mom is willing to take the cat, I would go that route.  NOTE that cats are territorial; they tend to return to where they consider home (no matter how bad that home is).  So, your mom will need to keep the cat confined to her house/room for at least three weeks.

Good luck and let us know how things work out.

I agree! That kitten is not being cared for by the neighbours and in Canada where I live (Ireland, US and Israel are also places I have resided for significant tome periods so I have to assume from thatch, reading annex travel in Britain that the RSPCA is akin yo ours. Food zndcwater -that is it for them. No more action, sigh!! You arecfortunate your mom can take hercb / then she can visit you) she clearly feels you are her one safe haven andcdesperatelh needs help. She may not even being fed well.

We had neighboursvfrom England who for whatever reason had the cutest kitten but sllowedcto run all over the place -andcee haxva neuters black male who loved being an only cat tho we would look after her when they travelled around the world for his company of to Britain to visit family. I think invretrodprcg she truly bonded with us bug she was ALWSYS at our door elookjng for my sister and si -both who LOVED kitties and our dogs. Once, someone going to door stopped to knock kn the door (I was maybe 10) to inform us our cat wanted in so I did not like to leave her out if she had been there that long! I had not felt well and was asleep. My mom finally talked to our neighbour andcshe had despised how much yhd cat wanted company. (Even with a geriatric cat who furled op UNDRR nh bed clothes)

More... and us. We told her it wad ok - even our cat liked her which wad unusual dud had had all her vaccines so would not hurt him.

This Ix the opposite of that. S family who Imho dies not want her and you have the opportunity -where dud has selected you -to hell her and give her zcreally good home. I am not the most religious person but j sk believe this gag was sent to you for acreaskn. Shd needs z family to save her and help her. If they let her wander all day snx say "throw her out ",what else is going on! Good luck!!

Take her in to get checked and spayed, feed her let her love you , and get her to your moms. The neighbors will never give a crap so, she has picked you for her Guardian. That is a blessing.
