I don't know about this - but vet expenses are already difficult to manage - ugh!

An excerpt:
... How does this work? Medical devices used only on animals are exempt. However, items including IV pumps, sterile scalpels and anesthesia equipment, which are medical devices that have a dual use, meaning they can be used on people and animals, will be taxed. Thank you for sharing. This is actually really interesting to think about how one law can affect us in multiple areas of our lives. I am not saying if I support or oppose mandated healthcare but it's certainly good to know a potential reason as to why our vet bills may increase.

Thanks for keeping those in the US informed!

I just took a BIG GULP when I read this because I'm caring for feral-born around my house as well as the 9+ (4 ferals trapped in garage waiting for surgery) cats we have living inside.  This additional cost may effect our Feral Programs of TNR, and brings another obstacle trying to manage the population of these precious animals.

I purposefully did not put this info in the IMO Forum because I wasn't looking for a debate on the health care law, but for exactly what you said - as information - so we can brace ourselves and try to prepare. :)
