Cassie isn't eating. She ate fine yesterday morning.. but last night and this morning she isn't eating. she ate a few of her favorite treats slowly last night.

She's not excited about her food as she usually is.. she'd sniff, lick and walk away. she is drinking from her water bowl

She came home from the vets a few days ago from being boarded, but she was fine when she came home.

No other health symptoms. She's playing, and alert.

I am thinking she ate some leaves from my roses.. so maybe a tummy ache?

How long would you guys wait before taking your cats to the vet? how many days?

Oh, I did try different food too.

So she missed two meals so far?  I think I'd call the vet now.  Wishing the best for her....keep us updated.

I agree, call the vet though hopefully it's just a delayed reaction to the vets.

Did she get any kind of shots while at the vets?  Hopefully she didn't pick up a bug while at the vets.

Rose petals are not toxic (one of the few safe flowers--I make dried flower wreaths and potpourri); though I suppose they could cause a tummy ache if she ate enough of them.

And keep us posted.

She had her rabies shot on saturday (or was it Monet that had rabies shot? I gotta look at the papers again)

If she doesn't eat tonight, I will call the vet. She seems fine otherwise.. maybe a little slow, but fine.. I hope she didn't pick up anything at the boarding facilities at the vets!

I woudnt wait too long if she isnt eating at all. They can develop a deadly condition called heaptic lipidosis if they stop eating for long enough. If she doesnt start eating in a day or so, I would take her. Better to be safe than sorry.

The real test is her food. Portia would eat treats to but not her food. She developed HL from not eating. Hopefully, she'll eat at night and you wont have to worry any more. Sending good thoughts your way.

She's eating!

Granted, slowly, but she's eating! First time I gave them beef hearts, gave her a choice between that or canned.. she chose the raw!

Draco, happy about Cassie!

When Cassie was eating less, was her urine output less also?  Possible problem with Ritz.

Thanks.

She ate again this morning. shoot!

I am not sure about her urine as she shares a box with another cat. Don't know who's who.

do you have a spare room to put her in for a few days to watch her urin? if yes put her in the room with her own litter box and water bowl for about 2 days if there isn't urin or not much urin call the vet i did this with one of my cats and turned out he had infection and avoid feeding any dry food<i dont know if you feed it or not

hope she feels better soon and starts eating healthy again

No dry food. Mosty raw and sometimes grain free wet.

Yesterday one or both of my cats threw up. A lot and everywhere :(. Could be Monet cuz there were black fur in the mix.. But could be Cassie since she was the one not eating. I decided not to feed them last night to let their stomach settle. Fed them pork trim thisorning and hoping for the best when I come home!

Oh and plenty of urine and hard poo from both. Witnessed them both going last night

There's nothing wrong with feeding pork in the US. There are many raw feeders who feed pork in rotation, and pork is also used in commercial cat foods.

It was probably the Petco site that says that pork fat molecules are bigger and will clog your pet's arteries. It's been discussed many times in many places and no one can find any study or proof to back this up. If this were true, why would pork be used in commercial pet foods?

If you're concerned about trichonosis, that hasn't been a problem in domestic pigs in the US in a long time.
