whats your favorite things about cats?

I have been a dog person my entire life and just recently fell in love with cats. They just have so many trait I don't see in other pets. So I just want to know what is your favorite thing about cats?

Their purring. I've always loved to fall asleep with the contented purring of a cat in bed. Don't get me wrong, I love everything about our gang (well, almost everything). But there's something about Mollipop wrapped in my left arm with her tail around my arm, her paws up under my neck and that loud purring of hers. That's how I love to fall asleep at night. I hear her purr and life is good. (And I know that silly that sounds.)

That they are their own selves, no matter what happens around them.  Independent, yet still able to be part of a clowder.

I dont think that sounds silly at all. Their purring is probably my favorite thing about them too. I just love to hear how content they are. Nothing beats that!

There is nothing that says comfort more than a warm, purring cat. Unless it is 2 or 3 or ?

I agree with Pam about the purring. Tippytoes sleeps with me the same way and sometimes in the middle of the night she decides that she needs to wash my face. While the rough tongue on my face is not the best feeling, I know the love that comes with it and that's all I need. She is my little love and I know she's showing her love and appreciation.

Also, cats are so independent and are much like humans. They do what they want, when they want and sometimes just want to be left alone. They don't necessarily try to please you unless they are in the mood.
